ADHIKAR

RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL FOR THE MENTALLY RETARDED CHILDREN

Recognized by: MASS EDUCATION EXTENSION & LIBRARY SERVICES, GOVT. OF WEST BENGAL & Persons with Disabilities Act’ 95, Govt. of West Bengal

In view of alarming percentage of mental retardation in Indian population and dearth of

adequate institutional support for their education, therapy and rehabilitation, an extraordinary energetic person Dr. Manabesh Pramanik established ‘ADHIKAR’, - a residential special school for the mentally retarded children on 1st January, 2000, with the noble help of Haiderpur Shelter of Malda. At present the school is at its full fledged movement for keeping peace with the mentally retarded children of our society.

Although the school is expecting to go miles after miles for the well being of the mentally retarded children and confident enough to overcome all those problems with the dedicated services of our well trained special educators, also hopeful for the completion of a full fledged organization for mankind and a much awaited expectation of help from the Government in near future. In spite of our limited sources, we have taken the serious activities for the rehabilitation of our beloved mentally retarded children for the year 2016-17 which are given below hoping the same will equally be accepted and appreciated by everyone.
