Biodiversity Sustainability – a balanced approach to reducing environmental

impacts & repairing environmental damage.

Compliance: increasing legislation - Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010, Water Framework Directive opportunities (Telford Urban Catchment funding submission)

BESST: SWT Biodiversity Event 2012 100th Year centenary for The Wildlife Trusts, 50th

Anniversary for Shropshire Wildlife Trust.

Sept 2012 event to showcase BESST members work on Biodiversity activities on site and off site projects.

Updates from previous projects and new examples of BESST member’s resources being matched to SWT’s expertise to improve local biodiversity and contribute to the national Living Landscape Program

BESST 2012: worked with SWT, Telford & Wrekin, Shropshire County and Council and other stakeholders to submit a Shropshire Local Nature Partnership proposal to drive biodiversity strategy.

BESST members have contribute to locally developed environmental best practice, which is being recognised nationally, and deployed internationally.
