www.hallmarkretireeclub.com MAY 2016 REMARKS FROM YOUR CLUB PRESIDENT The Hallmark Retiree Club’s March event at Kauffman stadium was a sellout and huge success! It was a beautiful day and everyone enjoyed the view, the food, the great tours and some of us even shopped for Royals gear! Thanks to all the Club Board members who helped arrange this event. Our next event is at Loose Park and we will be playing Bingo again. Hy-Vee is catering this event, so there’s no need to bring any food this year. We hold this event in a covered pavilion so it doesn’t get too hot. A beautiful rose garden is right next to the pavilion and it’s the perfect time of year to take a quick walk while you are there. We received some great suggestions for future event locations from retirees and will check into those as we plan future events. If you haven’t attended an event, we encourage you to try one this year. It’s fun to see Hallmark friends and make new ones. Hope to see you at the events soon!
