    Workshop on Electrical Vehicle Technologies for Startups

    To help support the national mission on Electric vehicles, Scitech Park, Pune along with Automotive

    Research Association of India (ARAI) on the occasion of World environment day had organized a

    Workshop on Electrical Vehicle Technologies for companies involved in this domain. One of the

    focus of the event was to create a platform for Startups to learn about the trends and new

    developments in the field of Electrical Vehicle technologies.

    Interactive sessions with industry and ARAI experts on various aspects of EV technologies was

    organized. The event was inaugurated by Mrs. Rashmi Urdhwareshe and Director-‐ ARAI, Dr

    Rajendra Jagdale, Director General – Science and Technology Park, Pune. The keynote was given

    by Mr Gajanan Kale of Mahindra Electric on the journey of their flagship product, the Mahindra e2O.

    Mr. M R Saraf, Technology Group Leader, ARAI elaborated on the various technologies and

    facilities available at ARAI related to the Electric Vehicles. Innovators representing various startups

    in this domain presented their products and its innovative technologies.

    Interactive Workshop for Biotechnology & Healthcare Sector Held at Scitech Park, Pune

    Scitech Park, Pune is association with Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT),

    IIT Delhi organized an Interactive Workshop for Biotechnology and Healthcare Sector on Tuesday,

    04th July, 2017 for researchers, innovators and prospective entrepreneurs in the biotechnology /

    healthcare sectors. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Kriti Taneja, Consultant - Innovation and

    Entrepreneurship.

    Workshop on Nuts and Bolts of IPR Management for Startups

    Scitech Park, Pune conducted a workshop on “Nuts and Bolts of IPR Management for Start Ups”

    along with Technology Centre of CII and United States Patent & Trademark Office - Global

    Intellectual Property Academy (USPTO-GIPA), US Embassy, New Delhi on 22nd July 2017 at

    Department of Management Sciences, Savitribai Phule Pune University. This programme was

    organized especially for startups to help them strategize IP in attracting private equity and venture

    capitals, exploring future ready Business Model for Startups - All about leveraging Patent, Copyright,

    Designs and Trademarks and Understanding Deal Killer or Maker agreements for Start Ups :Time

    line Contracts & Agreements.

    The sessions were deliberated by eminent speakers namely Cmdr. Anand Khandekar, Ex Chief

    Mentor, Nvidia Pune Design Centre, Member, Board of Trustees, Science & Technology Park, Pune,

    Ms Komal Kalha, Senior Counsel – IP, South Asia, USPTO, Embassy of the United States of

    America, New Delhi, Mr. Sumit Seth, Director, Numbaa Virtual Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Aravind Chinchure,

    Chair Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Symbiosis International University, Pune, Mr.

    Essenese Obhan, Managing Partner, Obhan & Associates, Mr. C. R Jacob, IP Strategist, Lexorbis,

    Ms. Kavita Mundkur Nigam, Partner & Advocate, Krishna & Saurashtri Associates. This interactive

    workshop got a very good response from the startup community of Pune.

    Electrical Mobility Solutions products showcased to Hon’ble Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari in Pune

    Scitech Park, Pune showcased various products of Electrical Mobility Solutions offered by the

    Technology based Start ups supported and mentored by them to Honorable Minister Shri Nitin

    Gadkariji, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Govt. of India in Pune on Sunday, 27th August,

    2017.

    He took keen interest in the electric vehicle innovations done by Tork Motors and GetMy Solutions,

    the startup companies who presented their products. He also gave valuable suggestions for the

    vehicles for its commercial and technical viability in accordance with the Government's ambitious

    plan to make all vehicles on Indian roads 'electric' by 2030. It gave all the innovators inspiration and

    direction for their efforts for achieving the common national goal.

    Orbit Shifting Strategy & Leadership – A workshop for thought leaders held at BHAU Institute, COEP

    Scitech Park, Pune organised a one day workshop called „Orbit

    Shifting Strategy & Leadership for thought leaders at BHAU Institute,

    COEP, Pune on Oct 04th, 2017.

    The workshop was conducted by Ms. Prabha Parthasarathy, Director,

    Erehwon Innovation Consulting. The workshop focused on building

    inspiration and insight into Erohwon‟s path breaking methodology

    „Orbit Shifting Innovation‟ and how it has created transformative

    impact.

    Science and Technology Park, Pune celebrated ‘National Entrepreneurship Day’ at MIT-TBI, Pune

    On the occasion of National Entrepreneurship Day, Scitech Park, Pune and MIT Pune-Technology

    Business Incubator jointly organized an event on 09th November, 2017 at MITCOM College,

    Pune. The theme of the event was "Catalysing a cultural shift in youth entrepreneurship". The event

    was organized to share the entrepreneurial journey of the start ups. Mr. Kapil Shelke, Founder

    Director of Tork Motors, Mr. Sameer Gokhale, Founder Director of Jampot Photonics and Mr.

    Gaurav Jain, Founder of Jagana Design Lab shared their Startup Journey with the MIT students.

    STP’s Incubatee Companies participated in the 37th India International Trade Fair 2017 in New Delhi

    The 37th edition of India International Trade Fair (IITF) was held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi

    from November 14-27, 2017. The theme was "Start up India : Stand up India". IITF with B2B and

    B2C components is one of the largest integrated trade fairs. The format of IITF has Business, Social,

    Cultural and Educational Dimensions that are weaved together where visitors and exhibitors, media

    persons, marketing professionals, social activists, NGOs etc. all come together to explore their

    objectives.

    This year 9 Incubatee companies of Scitech Park, Pune namely -WatchWitz Technologies Pvt.

    Ltd., M/S Gangotree Eco Technologies Pvt. Ltd., M/S Membrane Filters Pvt. Ltd., M/S Jampot

    Photonics Pvt. Ltd., M/S GetMy Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Pixy Electric Cars Pvt. Ltd., Easy Eat Foods Pvt

    Ltd, Vadactro Technologies India Pvt Ltd and Dx Systems- participated at the event showcasing

    their innovative products to the general public visiting the event.

    Scitech Park, Pune attended ‘National Conference on Social Innovation (NCSI)’ in Pune

    Scitech Park, Pune attended 'National Conference on Social Innovation (NCSI)' organized by the

    Pune International Centre (PIC) on Friday, 17th November, 2017 at the Yashwantrao Chavan

    Academy for Development Administration (YASHADA), Baner.

    Shri. Prakash Javadekar, Honorable Minister for Human Resource Development, Govt. of India was

    Chief Guest at the event. CSR heads of leading companies such as the Tata Group, Bharat Forge,

    Praj, KPIT, Kirloskars, JSW Steel, Mahindra, Lupin, etc attended the Conference to encourage and

    listen to the innovators.

    Scitech Soymate Training Programme conducted for Women SHGs in Jalgaon District, Maharashtra

    Scitech Park, Pune and District Planning Committee, Jalgaon in association with National Rural

    Livelihood Mission, Jalgaon had conducted a one day training programme on “Supplementary

    Income Opportunities for Women Self-Help Groups based on Innovative Technology for Soy Milk

    and Allied Product Preparation” at District Planning Auditorium, Jalgaon on Tuesday, 31st October,

    2017.

    Training was conducted by Mr. Sanmati Shetgar, Science and Technology Park, Pune for the

    Women Self-Help Groups from Jalgaon District with Practical Demonstration on Handling, Operation

    and Maintenance of Portable Innovative Scitech Soymate Machine.

    Approximately, 245 women from 25 Self-Help Groups attended the training programme. During the

    one day training programme Scitech Soymate Machines and certificates were distributed by Mr.

    Dinesh Wagh, District Planning Officer, Jalgaon, Ms. Priyanka Bokil, Assistant District Planning

    Officer, Jalgaon and Mr. Deshmukh, Police Inspector, Jalgaon. The innovative soymate machines

    are easy to operate, handy, efficient and require very little maintenance. This lightweight and cost

    effective machines can be carried from place to place and is an efficient mode for income generation

    among women self help groups.

    Training was conducted by Mr. Sanmati Shetgar, Science and Technology Park, Pune to Women

    Self-Help Groups from Sangli district with hands on demonstration on operation and maintenance of

    Scitech Soymate Machine.

    Approximately 245 women from 25 Self-Help Groups attended the training programme. The Scitech

    Soymate machines and certificates were distributed by the dignitaries after the successful

    completion of the training programme.
