• Kindly see the photographs of weir constructed by meon river Kshipra near Dewas city, Indore, MadhyaPradesh. My exam was over on 1 ! 1" when I came

from Indore to #hmedabad and my result wasdeclared on $ ! 1" when weir started over%owing forthe &rst time after construction. 'he weir wasover%owing nicely and satisfactorily without anydamage. 'his weir our company was constructing for

the last ( years but they could not done it as theyhave not seen a dam in life. 'he )wner has given anotice to the company to blac* list them if they wouldnot construct the weir within ( months. +hen I oinedon - ( 1" nothing was constructed except some smallheaps of very poor concrete. I said that I wouldcomplete the weir up to crest level without piers andgates which would store water up to m that can bedelivered to Dewas city for drin*ing purpose.

I completed the weirup to crest level on (" / 1". 'he owner of the pro ect Dewas Municipal0orporation was very much happy to see the over%owing weir for the &rsttime in their life. 'he entire Dewas city gathered at the weir site to seethis marvelous scene. ou must be *nowing that %ood would last for / to

hours only and there after over%ow would be stopped. 'he over%ow ofDewas weir was stopped on / ! 1". 2ow there is water stored at upstreamup to m and on downstream there is no water and concrete has againstarted. My photos are not there as at that time I was at #hmedabad.

'he site was beautiful. 'he bridge yousee in the picture is railway bridge between #hmedabad and Indore. Mylabours are ta*ing bath in the collected water. 'he chairman of Dewascity, city engineer etc have also come and they are in the pictures.

weir site to see this marvelous scene. 'he %ood camesuddenly and in one night the empty reservoir was &lledwith water ust li*e 4ardar 4arovar Pro ect at the time ofconstruction up to 56 11"./- m. ou all must be *nowingthat %ood would last for maximum / to hours only and

there after over%ow would be stopped. 'he over%ow ofDewas weir was stopped on / ! 1". 2ow there is waterstored at upstream up to m and on downstream thereis no water and concrete has again started.
