Because of new programming, the online AaE system and FAQ system often don’t automatically work together. Be sure to copy the question and your answer into Notepad or Word so you can copy and paste them if necessary. Edit your question and answer so they aren’t specific and can stand alone. Click on “Convert this question into an FAQ.” Login again if requested. Copy and paste edited question and answer if necessary, or edit AaE question and answer that appears. Key in tags, and save. In workflow, select workflow state as “ready to review.” Jot down a message to the reviewer, and save then log out. Two people on the CoP team will review it. Set your preferences to receive appropriate questions Login at http://people.extension.org. (Review your profile if you haven’t for a while.) Click on AaE in the top bar. In the upper right, click on “preferences.” General Preferences Automatically assign me incoming questions that match my expertise or location Fill in AaE Email Signature Read the info on this page about how questions are assigned Areas of Expertise Select both categories and subcategories Not all subject matter has eXtension categories yet Geographic Regions Add or Edit a Location County agents: Pick individual counties State specialists: Add all counties Area specialists: your choice, though preferably all counties Click on “I’m done” Widget Preferences Don’t worry about this unless you’ve worked with Bob to create a specific widget
