In 1883, Nintendo released the Family Computer in Japan to

run old video games.

1st And 2nd Generations Of The History Of Video Game Consoles

The Sony 1st and 2nd generations have 23 video

game consoles in total and that’s from 1958 to

1982.

The 3rd Generation Of The History Of Video Game Consoles

1983 started the 3rd generation and managed to

produce 15 more consoles before 1989.

The 4th Generation Of The History Of The Video Game Consoles

The 4th generation began in the year 1989 and

finished in the year 1993 and managed to

produce around 33 more consoles in that time.

The Magnavox OdysseyThe Magnavox Odyssey was the first video

game console released in 1972 and was

designed by Ralph Baer.

Sony Playstations

On December the third, 1994, the Sony Playstation became the

most popular system in the fifth generation. The fifth generation

is between the years 1993-2001. On the year 2000, the Sony

Playstation two became the bestselling video game console in

history.

The Microsoft XboxThe release of the Xbox 360 began the seventh

generation. The first Xbox was released on

November 16, 2001 in the United States.

The Nintendo Wii

On November 19, 2006 the

Nintendo Wii not only became

a global success for Nintendo,

but also made a massive

gaming trend of playing with

motion controls.
