PROFILEWith a proven track record for delivering change, I am a creative leader who is able to positively influence others to achieve an optimum result. Success has come from building strong stakeholder relationships that engage at every level at the earliest point. With the ability to analyse and interpret information quickly, I determine strategies to existing and emerging situations that solve both the short and long term goals. After delivering great successes in an initially struggling unit as well as developing a senior management role to better drive multi-site performance, I am now eager to develop my experiences further into a new role.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORYJan 11 - Present Stansted Air Hub Manager, Stansted Airport, Royal Mail

o Responsible for all domestic Air Mail flying from and to the South East of the UK with a team of 8 managers and over 150 staff

o Built strong positive relationships with the local and area union representatives that have enabled efficient issue resolution and site development, including agreeing multiple local agreements

o Improved safety from 18 accidents in a year in 2011-2012, to one accident per yearo Developed a robust internal annual leave process that directly improved sick attendanceo Extensive experience of handling particularly difficult people investigations to dismissal and

o Designed and implemented a new staffing spread sheet that has halved the time needed for staff planning and formed the foundation for revisions

o Design of a new quality matrix for the Air Network that innovatively measures quality defects from data gathered on a nightly basis

o Working directly with two different capacity brokers to identify risks and opportunities, then translating this into saleable products

o Developed a way of identifying and qualifying saleable routes, increasing the turnaround to customer from taking over a week to a single afternoon

o As a new product there was no complete way to price it. Working with finance I developed a tool that would project cost and give back a minimal quotable price for use in negotiating with customers. The tool also worked as the main financial tracker to determine actual profits vs cost

o Working closely with the CWU and differing site operations I was able to ensure operational readiness as well as negotiate through some substantial start up obstacles

o Ensuring through involvement and negotiation that Royal Mail’s exacting safety and quality standards were still met even though we were stepping away from our core logistic products

o Building of financial forecasts that as well as demonstrating growth, identified risks to success
