On December 15, 2018, at around 0830H, operatives of this office led by Agent

Jury G. Rocamora proceeded to Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Male Dormitory and conducted a lecture on the salient provisions of RA 9165 and ill-effects of illegal drugs to more or less twenty (20) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) and selected BJMP personnel. The said activity concluded on or about 1100H on the same date.

On December 09, 2018 at around 1400H, Agent Regie R. Macutay, under the supervision of IAV Maria Felina Bacha-Abendan, Provincial Officer, Zamboanga Del Norte was invited to conduct lecture during the Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign Seminar “No to Drugs, Yes to Sports” at Barangay Turno, Dipolog City. During the said activity, Agent Regie R. Macutay discussed about the “ill effects of drugs and salient provision of RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 to more or less Fifty (50) participants..

On December 10, 2018 at around 1300H – 1500H, Ms. Darmalyn H. Jumlail, PECI Chief/Information Officer together with Mr. Abduljabar D. Bilao and Elvis Sulla, served as Resource Speaker and conducted lectures on the Ill-effects of dangerous drugs and RA 9165 to more or less Two Hundred (200) high school students of Sinubong National High School coming from different grade levels. The lecture was held at Covered Court of Sinubong National High School, Zamboanga City. Further, the lecture was conducted in connection with their observance of the Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week 2018 and the Barkada Kontra Droga Program of Department of Education.

On December 8, 2018 at around 0830H, personnel of this office led by Agent Hazel P Interio, proceeded to Barangay Sto. Niño, Zamboanga City and conducted a lecture on the salient provisions of R.A 9165 and ill-effects of illegal drugs to fifty (50) constituents of the aforementioned barangay. The said activity concluded on or about 1130H on the same date.

On December 12, 2018 at around 1000H – 1330H, Ms. Darmalyn H. Jumlail, PECI

Chief/Information Officer together with Mr. Abduljabar D. Bilao, served as Resource Speaker and conducted lectures on the Ill-effects of dangerous drugs and RA 9165 to more or less sixty (60) composed of Senior High School students and the Barangay Officials of Rio Hondo, Zamboanga City. The lecture was held at Islamic Institute of the Philippines (IIP), Rio Hondo, Zamboanga City.

On December 11, 2018 at around 0800H, Agent Cesario C. Judilla Jr. together with Agent Knorben Mark R. Montuya proceeded to Molave and Tambulig Municipal Jail, Molave, Zamboangadel Sur. Agent Montuya discussed the Ill-Effects of Dangerous Drugs and salient provisions of RA 9165 to more or less fifty (50) Molave and Tambulig Municipal Jail inmates.

On December 30, 2018 at around 1000H – 1200H, Ms. Darmalyn H. Jumlail, PECI Chief/Information Officer served as Resource Speaker and conducted lectures on the Ill-effects of dangerous drugs and RA 9165 to more or less forty (40) participants composed of Barangay Tanods, Parent Leaders, Purok Leaders and Barangay Officials of Rio Hondo Barangay Council in Zamboanga City. The lecture was held at Cecille’s Catering and Pension House in Tumaga Porcentro, Zamboanga City.

More or less 80 criminology students including instructors of Mahardika Institute of Technology

from Tawi-Tawi visited this Office and were given orientation on the Agency's mandates, structure, laboratory examination procedures and the balanced approach to address drug problem, the supply and demand reduction efforts during their educational tour to PDEA9 this morning of Thursday, December 27, 2018.

On December 12, 2018 at around 1000H, personnel of this Office led by Agent Jury G. Rocamora, City Officer, PDEA Zamboanga City Office, proceeded to Zamboanga International Airport and initiated a meeting with Antonio B. Alfonso, Civil Aviation Manager, Area IX. Discussed during the said meeting was the installation of the Airport Interdiction Unit equipment. Further, on the same date, at around 1430H, aforementioned personnel proceeded to Zamboanga City Seaport and initiated a meeting with Liberto C. Dela Rosa, Port Manager,JezrielGesulgon, Seaport Station Commander,andSegundo SigmundfreudBarte, Jr., Zamboanga City Custom District Collector. Discussed during the said meeting was the installation of equipment and enhancement of Seaport Interdiction Unit facility.

On December 5, 2018 at around 1330H – 1600H, personnel of this Office led by Agent Jury G. Rocamora proceeded to Zamboanga City Hall Conference Roomand attended the Zamboanga City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ZCADAC) meeting. Updates on the anti-illegal drug campaign were presented by Agent Jury G. Rocamora, PDEA Zamboanga City Officer. Said meeting was presided by Dr. Elmeir E. Apolinario, CDRRMO/ZCADAC Secretariat,whichwas attended by ZCADAC members and invited guests.

On 0900H 17 December 2018, IAV MARIA FELINA BACHA-ABENDAN together with Agent Regie Macutay attended the Fourth Quarter Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) Meeting at Top Plaza Hotel, Dipolog City. The meeting was attended by more or less (40) participants composed of different local executives within the Province of Zamboanga del Norte and representatives of all concerned Agencies. It commenced with the Declaration of Quorum led by HON. ROBERTO Y. UY, followed the Committee discussion regarding the Updates on the Peace and Order Safety Situation, Updates on the Anti-Insurgency, Anti-Terrorism Campaign, Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration (E-CLIP) Program and other matters.

On December 10, 2018 at around 1100H, personnel of PDEA Zamboanga del Norte led by IAV MARIA FELINA BACHA-ABENDAN conducted ocular inspection of the Seaport Interdiction Office established at Pulauan Port, Brgy. San Vicente, Dapitan City.

On December 14, 2018 at around 0900H, Agent Reyne A. Barrientos, together with Agent Margelyn C. Asoy, Judy Leeh C. Yu and Michelle R. Mihasun proceeded to Pagadian City Jail, Lenienza, Pagadian City for the conduct of Drug Test to all Personnel and selected detainees of Pagadian City Jail and Pagadian City Female Dormitory.

On December 4, 2018 at around 0900H, personnel of this office proceeded to Bureau of Corrections at San Ramon Magsaysay Penal Colony, Zamboanga City and conducted mandatory drug test to one hundred twenty-eight (128) personnel of the aforementioned institution. However, the twenty one (21) personnel were not able to show up due to administrative duties and some were on-leave. Hence, their office requested for subsequent mandatory drug test, as per reference b. All personnel were tested negative for the use dangerous drugs. Said activity concluded on or about 1430H on the same date. Further, on December 5, 2018 at around 0830H, personnel of this office proceeded to the above-mentioned institution and conducted mandatory drug test to twenty-one (21) personnel who were absent the previous day. All personnel were tested negative for the use dangerous drugs. Said activity concluded on or about 1330H on the same date.

On December 17, 2018 at around 1400H, personnel of PDEA Zamboanga del Norte led by IAV MARIA FELINA BACHA-ABENDAN conducted random inspection at Philippine Ports Authority Terminal together with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG-K9) headed by ENS Ronnie Rey D Pabico, Acting Station Commander of Philippine Coast Guard and Philippine Maritime Police at Pulauan Port, Brgy. San Vicente, Dapitan City, after coordination was made with ENGR. Salvador L. Delina, Port Manager of Philippine Ports Authorirty (PPA).

On December 5, 2018 at around 1000H– 1200H, operatives of this office led by Agent Jigger B. Juniller, Provincial Officer, PDEA Basilan Provincial Office attended the 43rd Founding Anniversary “ArawngMaluso”. The activity started with the opening Programand the Cultural Dance Competition at Townsite Plaza, Maluso, Basilan. Further, at around 1230Hof the same date, Agent Juniller witnessed and attended the Turn-Over of Projects in particular the Maluso Hostel and Rehabilitation Center held at New Maluso Government Complex, Camanggaan, Brgy. Townsite, Maluso, Basilan. The turn-over of projects was also attended by Basilan Governor, Hon. Jim HatamanSalliman, MalusoMayor, Hon. Hanie A. Bud, and PNP Provincial Director PSSupt. RufinoInot.

On or about 0800H of December 10, 2018, operatives of this office led by Agent Jigger B. Juniller attended the Graduation Ceremony of Community-based Rehabilitation Program of Tuburan Municipality, Basilan Province held at Mini Gym, Barangay Tablas Usew, Tuburan, Basilan with more or less eighty-three (83) drug surrenderer participants. In attendance were Hon. Durie S. Kallahal – Municipal Mayor of Tuburan Municipality, Hon. Gima G. Kallahal- Vice Mayor of Tuburan Municipality, SPO4 George Turaray-PNP OIC COP, Dr.Arlyn J. Jumao-as-Municipal health Officer.

On December 16, 2018 at around 1500H, personnel of PDEA Zamboanga del Norte led by IAV Maria FelinaBacha-Abendan distributed food packs and drinks at certain areas of Dapitan City and Dipolog City. The activity catered mostly children, street vendors, street sweepers and senior citizens. The activity was conducted to show their own way of expressing gratitude for all the blessings they have received all throughout the year.

On December 17, 2018 at around 1500H, personnel of PDEA Zamboanga del Norte led by IAV MARIA FELINA BACHA-ABENDAN attended the Closing Program of 1st Intra-Port Community Sports Fest Program CY 2018 at Philippine Ports Authority, Pulauan Port, San Vicente, Dapitan City.

Groundbreaking Ceremony of Balay Silangan Center in Sitio Little Cebu, Barangay Maganda, Lamitan City, Basilan.

Balay Silangan is a reformation center intended for surrendered drug pushers. This program aims to reform them, to make them a productive and law-abiding citizens and eventually be reintegrated to the society where they once belong.

In attendance were Hon. Rose Furigay, Mayor of Lamitan City; Hon. Roderick H. Furigay, Vice Mayor; Agent Ralph Rommel D. Torres, PDEA IX Acting Assistant Regional Director, who delivered a Keynote Speech; Agent Jigger B. Juniller, Provincial Officer, PDEA Basilan Provincial Office, who also gave an Overview of the Balay Silangan Program; other partners and stakeholders.
