Rekommenderade doserRekommenderade doser• I Sverige doseras penicillin V traditionellt två
gånger om dagen. Med tanke på dessa medels korta halveringstid, och att det är T>MIC som styr effekten, har Referensgruppen för antibiotikafrågor (RAF) publicerat nya rekommendationer för dosering av dessa medel. Där föreslås att preparatet doseras minst tre gånger per dygn åtminstone i det initiala skedet av sjukdomen (t ex så länge barnen är hemma från daghem/ skola). Vid allvarliga infektioner, t ex erysipelas och pneumokockpneumoni, bör 3-dosering alltid användas. Flera lokala STRAMA-grupper följer idag de nya rekommendationerna.
