What does a fast flying flock of

geese have to do with the

membership strength of our

Lodge? Consider that a goose

flaps its wings to create uplift for

the birds that follow and you’ll see

a connection.

Membership growth and retention

is all about teamwork. By flying in

a ”V” formation your Lodge “flock”

will have far greater success.

Working in a tight formation

shares the load of keeping

membership strong among all

members. One or two cannot

save your Lodge; a dedication of

members can.

Recruiting even just one worthy

member and checking to see why

a friend has not renewed their

membership can help the Lodge

reach 100% and grow by a few

new worthy members each year.

Remember, geese honk to

encourage those up front to keep

up their speed. So, let’s get in

formation and encourage each

other to have the speed and

stamina needed for membership

growth. Further, let us remember

that “the strength of a chain is

judged by its weakest link, so is

the strength of a Lodge judged”.

Additionally, have you paid your

dues yet? If so, THANK YOU; if

not, PLEASE DO! Your dues

have already been by your Lodge

as required by the Grand Lodge

statutes. We currently have 150

delinquent members that the

Lodge had to pay their dues for

them. Now we must send out a

delinquent mailing which will cost

another $72.00 There is no fat in

our budget and the members are

getting a great deal for their

annual dues.

Now—-jus’ n case ya all forgot—-

during a Lodge meeting when you

wish to speak, you will always first

rise, address the chair by saying

“Exalted Ruler”. When recognized

by the chair, you may then speak.

When you wish to enter or leave

the Lodge when it is in session,

you will approach the alter, give

the hailing sign by bringing the

hands in one circular movement to

a position over your head, palms

to the front. When recognized by

the Exalted Ruler you may leave

the Lodge or be seated.

And finally, continue to patronize

the lodge dining room and

welcome our new waitress

“Jackie”.

It is my privilege to serve as your

Exalted Ruler.
