Antoinette Braks Antoinette brings a deep understanding of Stage Leadership Development for C-‐suite Executives, Divisional Leaders and up-‐and-‐coming high potential executives.
She focuses on unleashing individual productivity, creativity and purpose-‐driven performance through the development of courageous authenticity leveraging appreciative inquiry, setting aspirational outcomes and exercising conscious mindfulness.
Antoinette enables her clients to deepen their self and social awareness, reframe dynamics to take full accountability for life experiences and progressively uplift their leadership capacity so they can proactively create their life. She invites her clients to take a strategic, orchestrated and people-‐centric approach to the stewardship of an organization or division.
She will soon complete her PhD in the Drivers of Transformational Leadership at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, building on an MA there in Management Research, an MBA from London Business School and an Honours degree in Law and BA in Political Science from the University of Auckland.
She has worked globally in People and Culture with Shell International in London and led Management Assessment and Leadership Development with Korn Ferry Asia Pacific. She also led People and Culture for Vector New Zealand and has designed and delivered Culture Transformations in organizations rapidly generating quantum leaps in People Engagement and business results.
In recent years Antoinette has led Strategic Off-‐sites for Executive Teams to set Transformational Strategic Agendas and design Values-‐based Leadership Cultures. She has also designed and led Leadership Development Programs for senior leaders and coached more than 50 Senior Executives many of who shifted their leadership capacity to later stage action logics in just 12 months instead of several years.
Antoinette utilizes the independent Global Leadership Profile and the 360 Leadership Circle Profile for assessment purposes. She has a proven track record in uplifting and accelerating executive leadership development through a blend of “outside-‐in” and “inside-‐out” coaching methodologies.

Stage Leadership Development Executive Coaching in Strategic and Holistic Leadership enables Stage Development from highly effective business operations management to inspiring strategic leadership. This reflects the shift from the high performing stage of Achiever to authentic leadership as a Catalyst and transformational leadership at Strategist.
Here are the Stages in Leadership Development, showing the distribution of Executives at each Stage. Achievers account for 30% of Executives and number amongst the top 50%, Catalysts account for 10% and are in the top 15% while Strategists constitute the top 5% of executive leaders who are able to lead, hold and sustain business transformation.
PhD Research Study In the last few years nine of my Executive Coaching clients agreed to participate in my PhD Research Study. They undertook a Stage Leadership Assessment, the Mature Adult Profile, at the beginning and end of a 12-‐month Coaching Program.
100% of the Clients participating in the Research Study moved a full Stage in Leadership Development. Most shifted to Catalyst, and one went through to Strategist with another knocking on its door. This was remarkable as such a shift is commonly thought to take several years rather than a single year!
Note that the number of Sentence Completions at Specialist reduced by 23% while the number at Catalyst increased by 28%. Both Conformist and Strategist statements each at further ends of the spectrum, reduced and increased respectively by the same 6%. In total this was a reduction of 30% below Achiever and an increase in 35% above Achiever reflecting a complete stage shift overall, as well as per person.
The Blended Formula
The rapid Stage shift in leadership development seems to have emerged from a
unique blend of “Outside-‐In” and “Inside-‐Out” coaching. The “Outside-‐In” concerns
setting the strategic context, the Lower Right Quadrant in the following AQAL
model, while “Inside-‐Out” coaching focuses on the psychology of personal values,
beliefs, intentions and principles, the Upper Left Quadrant. By focusing in these two
areas as drivers for development, the demonstrated outcomes of increased
leadership presence and culture transformation are depicted by the other two
Quadrants.
The “Outside-‐In” refers to the strategic context within which an Executive operates.
By adopting the 7 proven steps to set up a Strategic Operating
System, Executives are both invited and supported to operate
at the strategic level of a Strategist. This enables them to rise
above the noise, transcend organizational constraints and get
ahead of the game by taking a broader, more inclusive and
longer term perspective. These 7 steps together with client
success stories have been published in Executive SOS.
The “Inside-‐Out” represents our intentional field or inner thoughts and beliefs. I
refer to this as Holistic Leadership Coaching facilitating the development of
increased self-‐awareness through mindfulness, emotional and spiritual intelligence.
This enables Client Executives to develop the inner resources to realize their
potential while healing obsolete reactive patterns that relate to past life events.
