A training designed to inform individuals about the Developmental Asset framework and motivate them to be effective asset builders.
Participants will:
Understand Search Institute’s framework of Developmental Assets and the role of the individual asset builders
Learn about Positive Youth Development’s efforts to promote assets
Identify the general characteristics of effective asset builders
Identify personal areas of strength and challenges
Understand the concept of asset building and asset building impact
Explore barriers to being an individual asset builder and strategies for moving toward action and
Make and share a personal commitment to asset-building action
