Sadbhavana 2019 opens its doors to unveil the trove of
knowledge and enthrallment that lies behind. We present to you
the opportunity to turn the dusty pages of history and discover
the legends and secrets within each chapter. Flaunt the regalia
of ancient travelers, or run alongside your fellow comrades to
embrace the hidden historian that lies within you.
Sadbhavana 2019 welcomes all participants with open arms,
who have ventured out to quench their thirst for knowledge and
adventure. In two fun-packed days, students will wrestle with
witty arguments, and arch their souls to mindful Yogic
postures. This event combines the past, present and future of
mankind and challenges one and all to uncover the tales of
human civilization.

General Rules & Regulations
All the participants along with the teachers
should reach school by 9:00 AM and register
themselves.
All the events will start simultaneously by
10:00 AM.
The students are expected to wear their school

A student can participate only in one event.

school registration formalities are being

Utmost decorum to be maintained at all times.

‘World Civilization: A socio-cultural phenomenon called
'fashion'. This fashion show will help students to showcase the
attire of different civilizations and transport the audience to the
bygone era.’

Number of participants: 1 team of 3 to 8 members per school
Track to be brought by the team (MP3 format in CD or pen drive)
and given to the event heads before the event starts.
Description of designs are compulsory (illustrations included).

Time limit: 1 hour.
Theme- Current global socio-cultural and geopolitical situation.
Participants have to carry their own materials. Participants are
allowed to use only color pencils or crayons. Use of paint is
prohibited.
Depiction of criminal offense, acts with criminal agenda, racist,
sexist, or religious discrimination and active propaganda in a
promotional sense is prohibited.
Constructive criticism of sensitive issues should not be
excessively offensive.
Depiction of obscenity and use of offensive language is
prohibited.
Teams will be judged based on originality, presentation and the
issue portrayed.

Swara-Battle of the Bands
‘Where words fail, music speaks'
Senior Category: Grades- 9 to12 Number of participants: 1 team of 6 to 8 members per school
All bands are allowed to participate, regardless of age and the band
may consist of a maximum of 8 members.
Theme is independent music.
Bands will have 4 minutes to set up + 6 minutes to perform. Any
band that goes over the allotted time will have points deducted.
Removal of clothing and the use of obscene language and gestures
is prohibited.
Band members must submit a typed copy of the lyrics they will
perform.
Lyrics cannot include profanity, racist remarks, sexually explicit
content or violence.
Bands must bring their own equipment (guitars, amps, keyboards,
etc.)
Only the band members listed on the registration form will be
allowed on stage.

Teams will be judged based on coordination, presentation and
costume.

There will be a preliminary round (written).

Theme for junior category : Indian Folk Dance
Theme for senior category : Story on a historic character (Styles
– Classical / Contemporary / Martial arts)
Song genre – No film Songs
Time duration - 5+1mins. Exceeding time limit will lead to
negative marking. 1min to set up props.
Use of props is permitted. However, use of snow, Inflammable
substances, colour powder, water and confetti is not permitted.
Costume/dress code should be appropriate. Vulgarity and
obscenity in the form of dance costume and moves will lead to
immediate disqualification of the team.
Participants must carry their music in a pen drive and CD in
MP3 format.
Dance will be judged on the basis of: - Synchronization,
Costumes, and Props, Relevance to the theme and
Choreography.
First 12 entries for both junior and senior category will be

Apart from the PPT, no electronic devices or flashcards
are permitted for assistance.
Participants must be cautious that a joke does not
offend or hurt the sentiments of their fellow
contestants, audience etc. No foul language.

Number of participants: Every school must send two
participants for the competition; one speaking in favor and
other against the motion
Each participant will get 3 minutes to speak and an extension of
30 seconds to wrap up. Excessively going past the time limit will result
in negative marking.
After each speech, the participant will be entertaining 2 questions
from their opposition and 1 from the audience (fellow participants).
Teams will be judged on the basis of content, delivery, time
management and rebuttals.

video cameras etc)
All editing is to be done on the student's equipment and will be
presented by the students on a projector at the end of the
competition.

student's creativity and will be submitted with a 1 page article/draft

Upajna - Maker space Challenge ‘Every once in a while, a new technology, an old problem,
and a big idea turn into an innovation.’
No. of students: 2 Participants per team per school
Open only to ATL schools
HACKATHON - Grades 9 to 12o The size of the team should be minimum 3 members and maximum
5 members
o This competition is for seniors i.e. 9th to 12th grade.
o All team members should be present at the event. o Teams can of course gain advice and support from organizers,
volunteers, sponsors, and others.
o All work on a project should be done at the hackathon.
o Teams can use an idea they had before the event.
o Teams can work on an idea that they have worked on before. The hacks should be innovative or adding new features to existing projects. Judges will only consider new functionality introduced or new features added during the hackathon in determining the winners.
o Teams must stop hacking once the time is up. However, teams are allowed to fine-tune after time is up.
o The participants have to bring the materials in accordance to their problem statement. Any materials can be used to build the model except Styrofoam or foam core boards.

Design and prototype a building which is resistant to earthquake.
The design of the building can be done before hand but the model

Design and prototype a building which has a Self-Sustaining
ecosystem with low carbon footprint. The design of the building can

Clean Energy:
Design a prototype system through which usable electrical energy
can be generated. The design of the building can be done beforehand
but the model has to be built on the day of hackathon only.

SOCCERBOTS - Grades 6 to 8 o Each team will have to defend the goal on its side as well as score
the goal on the opposite side. o Robo-Soccer is for juniors i.e. 6th to 8th grades. o Each team can have a maximum of 4 team members. o The weight limit of the robot for this competition is 5 Kg (Any
material can be used to build the robots except Lego). o Each robot should not exceed by maximum 30cm. o Each team will build max, 2 robots(manually controlled) taking into
consideration that the total weight of 1 or 2 robots, the controller and batteries should not exceed 5 kg. (This means that whatever components the participants enter on to the field should not be more than 5 kg.)
o The start zone for the single or both robots is 500mm x 500 mm. (Single or both the robots must be able to remain completely inside the start zone before the start of the game).
o The game will start at the count of 3 given by referee followed by whistle. In case a team starts its robot before the whistle, the game will be restarted and a team making this mistake for more than 3 times will be disqualified.
o The field diagram will be uploaded on the website soon. o Each goal scored by a team by rolling the ball on the ground will
fetch the team 1 point. o The goal post will have a hole on the top. Any team scoring the goal
from above will fetch 5 points. o The voltage at any point on the electrical connections should not
exceed 12 V DC. o The game will last for 5 minutes. o The detailed dimensions of the goal post and D line will be
uploaded on website soon. o Maximum 2 members per team will be allowed to remain close to
field for operating the robots. o In case of jam up of robots for more than 30 seconds the robots will
have to kick-off again at the order of the referee. o In case of any discrepancy the final decision rests in the hands of
coordinators. o Any act of misbehavior or misconduct will lead to immediate
disqualification of the team.
o The robots are not allowed to use grippers or actuations which are intended to harm the opponent’s robot.
o The competition is aimed at making the game a friendly football match rather than a robo war.
o If the robo is battery powered kindly bring the charger from your end

An artful event where each member gets to paint and decorate a
clay pot on the theme of Indian traditional art.
Junior Category: Grades- 4 to 8
Number of participants: 1 participant per school
Theme: Indian designs which can include traditional art like Warli
art.
Time Duration: 45 minutes
Material Required: Fabric colours, decorative items like (mirrors,
lace, glitters, fabric glue, glue etc).
Medium size earthen ware pot will be provided by the host school.
Teams will be judged on the basis of creativity, presentation and
choice of colours.

Nyayangam - Moot Court Experience fighting cases as lawyers on social discrimination.
Experience what it is to be a civil servant of this nation. The
lives of people lie in your hands, will you be able to succeed in
nullifying their reprimand?
Senior Category: Grades- 9 to 12
Number of students:- 2 Co-counsel (witness will be provided by
the school)
The 'laws of the land' here refers to Indian law. The incidents in the
case (provided by the school) have occurred on Indian soil and
hence will be governed by Indian constitutional laws.
Two participants per team (that is Co-counsel).
Case will be given by the school and needs to be thoroughly
researched by the students.
The IRAC method of mooting will be followed.
The time allotted to each speaker is 4 minutes (that is per team gets
8 minutes).
The witness provided by the school can only be asked questions
pertaining to the case as deemed fit by the counsel. Answers given
by the witness/witnesses will not be subject to change.
Use of obscene language while presenting a case will result in
disqualification.
Any proof (either be recorded/written) will not be entertained by
the judge.
This is a school level moot court hence only verbal statement,
backed up by facts from the case and laws of the land, will be taken
into consideration in addition to the witness statement.

on the topic written in the card.
The performance will be evaluated in terms of specific standards,
including the clarity and completeness of the speech.

Paatra Abhinyam - Role Play An imaginative role play event on the theme National
Leaders of India.
Junior Category: Grades- 4 to 8

The duration of the role play should be minimum 10 and
maximum 12 minutes including the time for stage arrangement.
Participants must bring all the necessary requisites for their role
play.
Participants must speak in English and refrain from using
offensive language.

Ksema - Cyber Safety AD
Create a 20 - 30 seconds awareness advertisement about Cyber
Safety Tools for Content Creation: MS- Paint/Adobe Photoshop
and Windows Movie Maker.
Junior Category: Grades- 4 to 8
Number of participants: 1 team of 2 members per school
Time limit: 2 hours.
The advertisement must be made only using the following
software.
MS paint/Adobe Photoshop for content creation. Windows
Moviemaker for ad compilation.
The duration of the advertisement should be at least 20 seconds
and must not exceed 30 seconds.
The content created must be original. Plagiarism will not be
tolerated and will lead to immediate disqualification.
Use of licensed material, such as audio tracks, is prohibited.
Participants are allowed to bring a set of headphones and a
microphone to record their narrative/voiceover track (if any) on
the spot.
The advertisement must be created from scratch on the spot and
use of any reference material is prohibited.
Depiction of obscenity and use of offensive language is
prohibited.
The advertisement must be relevant to the theme and should not
deviate from the main topic. Depiction of a certain division of the
topic is encouraged, with an overall view of the main topic.
Teams will be judged based on creativity, innovation and
presentation.
