ElectricElements

The electric heating elements are constructed with selected Ni Cr 80/20

wire, centred in a metal tube and insulated with high quality magnesium oxide

(MgO), compacted by cold-drawing. The heating elements may be supplied

plain or finned, increasing, in the last case, the heat exchange with gaseous

fluids.

Special constructions to client’s drawings.

F.A.T.I. heating elements, appropriately improved,

are also certified as Increased Safety components,

in conformity to:

ThreadedHeaters

Threaded Plug Immersion Heaters consist of tu-

bular elements welded into a threaded screw plug,

which can be inserted into a threaded opening in

a tank wall.

The electric heating elements are constructed

with selected Ni Cr 80/20 wire, centred in a me-

tal tube, and insulated with high quality magnesium

oxide (MgO), compacted by cold-drawing.

The elements are either welded or brazed to a threaded

plug, which is available in a variety of materials to suit the

element sheath and the application.

The threaded screw plug can have BSP, NPT, or ISO thread

forms. Special thread forms and materials are available on

request. Flameproof threaded immersion heaters for Zo-

nes 1 & 2 Hazardous areas, gas groups IIA, IIB, & IIC, tem-

perature class T1-T6. Certification ATEX II 2G Ex d IIC T1-T6

to EN 60079-0 / 60079-1, and IECEx Ex d IIC T1-T6 to IEC

F.A.T.I. range of immersion heaters is suitable for heating all process fluids,

which are non-corrosive to the materials of construction. Flanged immersion

heaters are hairpin-bent tubular elements, welded to a flange, provided with

electrical safety devices and a suitable junction Box.

The range of in-line cast aluminium heaters is suitable for heating all process

fluids particularly in high pressure applications, eliminating the pressure ap-

plications, eliminating the pressure vessel.

The design incorporates electric heating elements and an indirect process

heating coil imbedded within marine garde cast aluminium, this ensures a

high thermal exchange.

This solution is not suitable in applications where is required a highly accura-

te temperature control, with variable flow rates.

Electric duct heaters, with a degree of protection IP40,

IP55, IP65 or IP66, are recommended for use in a signifi-

cant number of applications and industrial processes, for

heating air or inert gas flows in safe area.

These products are designed by our technical de-

partment, according to Client’s request or technical spe-

Duct heaters are designed for flange mounting, in connection with air conditio-

ning / heating and ventilation systems, usually used in industrial environments.

Special designs, for example, Process systems, Furnaces, Autoclaves, Rehea-

F.A.T.I. make electric heat exchangers for heating all

types of gas or liquids.

The dissipated power can vary up to thousan-

ds of kW. The heat exchangers are essentially

made up of a heating pipe coil, with a Junction

Box, which can be produced in IP 40, IP 55, IP

65, IP 66, or IP 67, “explosion-protected” Ex d

(ATEX and/or IECEx), installed in a housing tank,

designed and made according to the required

standard.

A wide range of materials is used both for ma-

king the heating elements (Carbon steel, 304(L),

316(L) or 321 SST, Inconel 600, Incoloy 800,

etc.) and for fabricating the tank.

Controlpanels

F.A.T.I. has accumulated a lot of experience in thyristor controls (SCRs) used to

regulate the temperature of electric heaters - from a few kW up to more than 5

MW - used in industrial, chemical, petrochemical, geothermal, and technical gas

processes. All our products are developed according to the Customer’s instruc-

tions and in close collaboration with them, and comply with CENELEC standards

and/or any specific standards required for international markets.

This experience has allowed us to tackle new technologies and di-

versify our field of activity, by means of collaboration:

• With Clients that produce energy, for development in the “alterna-

tive sources” field;

• With Research Bodies and one of the leading plant manufacturers

worldwide, for making prototypes in the sector of new technologies

in the energy field.

Of the products we make, special mention should be made of:

• The temperature control panels for pollutant (H2S - Hg) damping

processes containing gaseous fluids, and for hydrogen injection

processes for fuel cells;

• Complete process control systems for experimental fuel cell

The components we use are selected from the finest brands avai-

lable on the market, or aligned with the Customer’s specifications.

Due to its direct, long-term relationships with its Customers, F.A.T.I.

Before delivery, each electric panel undergoes careful inspection

and various functional tests, according to the requirements of the

EN 61439-1 standard. Our in-house standard calls for the issuing

of test reports, declarations of conformity, and printouts for electri-

cal insulation, equipotential, and dielectric strength tests. This do-

cumentation, which certifies the suitability of the product and the

strictest compliance with the reference standards, is given to the

Customer along with:

• Wiring diagrams,

• List of components,

• Detailed use and operation manual.

• Feasibility analysis of a design;

Heatingcables

High temperature-regulating heating wires are used to keep the temperature of

pipes, tanks and other hydraulic units located in areas classified as hazardous

areas (explosive atmospheres-ATEX). Can be cut to size on site and are then

implemented very easily. Steam sterilization resistant.

The CE marking is mandatory for all products for which there is a Community directive, is made by the manu-facturer of a regulated product in the European Union, which declares that the product complies with the safety requirements, for by the guidelines or applicable EU re-gulations.

Certification of quality management systems, ISO 9001. After the grant of the certificate the organization under-goes periodic visits and comprehensive review of the sy-stem every three years, to ensure the maintenance of its conformity to the reference standard.

It is the conformity that allows export to the Eurasian market composed of RUSSIA, Belarus, KAZAKHSTAN, ARMENIA. Products TR_CU TR_CU TR_CU012, 010, Fates are certified 004, 020 TR_CU, 032 TR_CU. The Technical Passport accompanies always supplies for the EAC market.

It compliance allowing exports to the Indian market. Fati is in possession of certification for its products.

The main activities before receiving the final certificate, consist of inspection, verification and certification of go-ods and equipment, projects, products and systems, in relation to internal standards, mandatory and voluntary standards nationally and internationally, to provide a com-pliance report.

It is the conformity that allows export to the Korean mar-ket. Fati is in possession of certification for its products.

Fati is ASME-certified U-STAMP.

The IECEx International (voluntary) Certification System has been implemented by the International Electrotech-nical Commission (IEC) in 2003, with the aim to simplify the “Worldwide” trading of electrical apparatus and com-ponents, and services, for use in explosive atmospheres. F.A.T.I. S.r.l. started, in 2012, a massive campaign of IE-CEx certification of its own “explosion-protected” Heaters in conformity with the said system, including the specific Product Quality Control System (QAR). Today F.A.T.I. wor-ks with five different Certification Bodies accredited by IE-CEx (ExCB), operating in three different European States (CESI, IMQ and EUROFINS in Italy, INERIS in France and ITS-Intertek in UK).

The abbreviation ATEX (French ATmosphères EXplo-sibles), identifies the European regulations (mandato-ry) on the “equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres” (currently 2014/34/EU product Directive), and the “safety and health protection of workers potentially at risk from explo-sive atmospheres” (social Directive 1999/92/EC, which is for employers). F.a.t.i. S.r.l., since 2003, year of entry into force of the first “product” ATEX Directive (94/9/EC), has certified the entire production of heaters Ex, and his own specific quality control system, in accordance with those rules. F.A.T.I. today works with 5 different ATEX notified bodies located in 3 different European countries (IMQ and CESI, France and Italy, INERIS in EUROFINS in ITS-Intertek in UK).
