HYMN SING (8:45 am)

GREETINGS & SHARING OF ANNOUNCEMENTS

The ringing of the bell is a signal to end our conversations and prepare our hearts for worship.

PRELUDE

*CALL TO WORSHIP adapted from Jeremiah 1 Leader: Hear these words from the Lord: “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and anointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

People: Jeremiah responded, “I can’t speak for you, Lord! I’m too

young.”

Leader: And God encouraged the young prophet to use his voice and

his youth to proclaim the goodness of our God.

People: May we hear God’s call to us as we come into God’s presence.

May our excuses for complacency be dispelled.

Leader: Let us get up and prepare for action!

People: For God is with us. God will take care of us as we proclaim the

good news of hope and life.

*OPENING HYMN “Christ for the World We Sing” #568

PASTORAL PRAYER AND LORD’S PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
