#6: Attach the back extension panelusing three #10 x 1-1/4” self tappingscrews.

#7: Install the third leveler tubeassembly into the back extensionreturn leaving one thread exposed forflat bottom pool. If pool bottom istapered install leveler tube all the wayup so there are no exposed threads.

#4: Install the second leveler tubeassembly into the side extensionpanel. This leveler tube assembly isfixed so there will be no adjustment inthe slot on panel.

3: To make assembly easier apply alittle liquid soap onto the four tabsthen insert tabs into the openings onthe lower back panel and push panelstogether. Panels are designed to fittogether tight, it may require a rubbermallet if panels won’t go together by pushing.

#2: Next install one of the leveler tube assemblies into the lower side panelleaving two threads exposed for a flat bottom pool. If pool bottom is taperedinstall leveler tube all the way up so there are no exposed threads. To installthe leveler tube place the long tab on side of tube into slot on panel and tapdown with rubber mallet.

#1: Using a rubber mallet install threeof the round step pads on to three ofthe leveler tubes. A little liquid soapon the leveler tubes will make assembly easier. Set the three assemblies and two round step pads aside.

STEP 1: (Cont’d) (FOR ABOVE AND IN GROUND STEPS)

#11: Install one of the round steppads over the round tab located onthe bottom of the stringer assembly. A little liquid soap on the round tabwill make assembly easier.

#10: Using three #10 x 1-1/4” self tapping screws one in every otherhole attach the stringer extension tothe stringer.

#9: Turn the assembly over so the lev-eler legs are sitting on the ground.

#13: Install the second round steppad over the round tab located on thebottom of the side stringer. Again, a little liquid soap will make assembly easier.

#5: With the step assembly still leaning back install the flexible bottomriser by placing over the tabs on thestringers and into the groove on theunderside of the bottom tread. Theangled cut on the riser will match theangle on the return panel.

STEP 2:(FOR ABOVE AND IN GROUND STEPS)

#4: Attach the center tread using two#10 x 1-1/4 self tapping screws, oneeach in the outer holes located on theunderside of center step. Screws willinstall at an angle.

#3: Lay the center bottom tread overthe right and left bottom treads andpush down and inward. The centertread will attach from underneath thestep. Lean the assembly back toexpose the bottom of the tread.

#2: Next, position the right bottomtread over the back extension andover the raised tab on the sidestringer. Push down and inward untilseated. Attach the tread to the sidestringer using one #10 x 1-1/4 selftapping screw.

#1: Position the left bottom tread overthe side extension panel and over theraised tab on the stringer. Push downand inward until seated. Attach thetread to the stringer using one of the#10 x 1-1/4” self tapping screws in theouter hole.

Attach at theangled end first by measuring up 2”and over 2” then using a #10 x 1-1/4”self tapping screw go through the faceof the riser and in to the return panel. On opposite end measure up 2” andover to the first groove in the riser andangle the screw so it will thread intothe raised tab on the panel.

#8: Place the second flexible riserinto the groove on the bottom treadinto the slots on the side extensionand back extension. The four ventilation slots in the riser should bepositioned on the right side andaligned above the slots in the first riser.

#7: At this time pour 25 lbs. of sandinto the stringer and 25 lbs of sandinto the side stringer. Sand will beadded through the holes located atthe top of the stringers. As the stringerfills tap the sides to settle sand to thebottom. Plug the two fill holes with twowhite plugs from the hardware bagSand is necessary to keep thesteps from floating.

#9: Place the second tread over thestringers and onto the side and backextension panels. Align the tabs onone side of the tread with the slots onpanel and push down until seated.Only attach one side of the tread atthis time.

STEP 5:(FOR ABOVE AND IN GROUND STEPS)INSTALLING STEPS INTO SWIMMING POOL

Tools needed: Cordless drill w/Phillips driver, rubber malletParts needed: 6-1-1/4” self tapping screws, 2 safety label

IT WILL REQUIRE 2-3 PEOPLE TO PLACE STEP INTO POOL.

#2: Step will float until all the air isout of step components, this will takeseveral minutes. To remove the air, itwill be necessary to tilt the step back-wards and to the left and right untilthe air bubbles stop. Once the airbubbles have stopped the step shouldbe sitting firmly on bottom of pool. Ifnot, air is still trapped in componentsand step will have to be tilted again.

#5: Apply the two safety labels on theupper handrail posts so they are visi-ble when entering the swimming pool.

#3: Position the step close to the poolwall. Rotate the two deck connectorsto sit on to pool deck and attach usingtwo #10 x 1-1/4” self tapping screwsin each connector. If you have a con-crete deck you will need to purchasethe proper fasteners for concrete.

#4: Attach the deck connectors toeach handrail posts using one #10 x1-1/4” self tapping screw.
