“I care for...Drežnik Grad” Drežnik Grad is the small place near the old town of Slunj and in the immediate vicinity of Croatian National Park Plitvice Lakes (UNESCO world heritage). municipality of Rakovica, county of Karlovac in Central Croatia. Drežnik is known for old medieval town.

Active citizenship actions - working activities -cleaning the environment of ruined old Drežnik Castle (garbage in the overgrown grass-bushes, pruning bushes)-cleaning the canyon of river Korana and assisting to „Dinaridi“ and DVD Drežnik Grad to clean one old rusty well in the centre of Drežnik Grad

Other events -round-table with representatives of Croatian Commission for UNESCO which will present their activities and discussion about Agenda 21 for culture + meeting with guest Mr. Vladimir Božić-Boltek (the oldest Croatian speleologist and expert for history of speleology in Croatia) -mapping of cultural and natural values-Sightseeing of Plitvice Lakes National Park, old town Slunj, Caves of Barać and the great Una river canyon

Accomodation Participants will have private accommodation in family house (rooms with 2 or more beds with private and shared bathrooms) which is located in the centre of Drežnik Grad (14 km from Plitvice Lakes) in calm area. The ruins of Drežnik Castle are 300 m away. There are free parking places near the house. Large garden full of greens, kitchen are at participants' disposal. The meals will be prepared with the involvement of participants/volunteers except certain days determined for trips.CostsThe camp is co-funded through fees for volunteers to cover the costs of accommodation in Drežnik Grad and food, local transport, organizational costs and insurance and it is fixed at 250,00 € per participant. We'll try to organize a travel to Drežnik Grad by private cars or regular public transport.Documents Identification card or passport is only required to enter into Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina - for citizens of EU or non-EU Countries.

Times devoted to sightseeing of local natural and cultural values National Park Plitvice Lakes"Jewel of nature" are the most beautiful natural sights in Europe. In the year 1979 UNESCO has declared it with all rights as the world's natural inheritence...16 terrace-formed lakes which are mutualy connected with waterfalls and cascades...kilometers of arranged walking paths – wooden bridges built over lake surface and serpentine...

-Slunj Old town SLUNJ has a lot to offer: rich cultural heritage, old fortified town is situated on the Slunjčica river near the mouth of the river and is known for the beauty of the Korana river...extraordinary landscapes particularly RASTOKE – a miller settlement that looks like something out of a fairytale...wooden houses have been completely renovated...

-Caves of BaraćDiscover an astounding world hidden beneath the earth...visit the world oldest artist's museum - the nature museum and see the works of art that took millions of years to create. The tour of the Caves of Barać will be organized with special tour guide Mr. Tihomir Kovačević, honorary president of „Dinaridi“ (they are the organizers of Croatian speleological meeting in Rakovica 16-18 November 2012)... Let's the nature teach us of the richness of simplicity and the beauty of the pristine. And we'll have a possibility to learn from all involved in this voluntary camp.

-Great Una river canyon We'll go also to Bosnia and Herzegovina (Drežnik is near the border) to visit the centre of Bihać and to discover ŠTRBAČKI BUK waterfall and the Great Una River Canyon "Emerald Valley" maybe...by rafting boat.

25 June h. 09.00-17.00: Cleaning of ruines of old castle and canyon of Korana river – after dinner free time
