“Nobody ever died at an audition” Melvin Miles, Morgan State University

UYAuditioning is all too often the most difficult aspect of pursuing a career as a musician.

UYAs a prospective student, try to think of your audition as a wonderful opportunity foryou to introduce yourself to people who are your advocates and who very much want you to be good at what you do. This "mind set" will serve you well in any audition situation.

UYBe as relaxed and as much your “natural self” as possible.

UYAnd always keep in mind: Your task is to share your talents... not to impress the auditors!

CHEM is comprised of the premiere institutions of higher education in the mid-Atlantic region. Our purpose is to: develop a network among music faculties
