Sangho Kim completed his Ph.D. Dissertation “Three Essays of International
Trade in Differentiated Products: Intra-Industry Trade and Trade Policy at
Michigan State University, USA. As a researcher, he has written many journal
articles and had presented papers in various International Conferences.
His expertise ranges from Total Factor Productivity, Firm Level Productivity,
Economic and Social Impact Studies as well as Intra Industry Trade in Korean
Manufacturing. He is currently a member of the Financial Planning Evaluation
Committee of Professors, Gwanju, since 2007. He is also affiliated to the
Korean International Economic Association, Korean Econometrics Association
and the Korean Regional Economic Association.
Among his research projects in Korea includes Economic and Social Impact of
Younggwang Nuclear Power Plant on Local Area, Discrepancy in Economic
Opportunity between Rural Areas, a Strategy to Increase Economic
Exchanges and Estimating Economic Impacts of Festivals in Jeonnam
Province.
He is presenting a paper entitled “Evaluating Human Resource Management:

Monina C. Macavinta Global HR Head Ayala Corporation, Philippines
Monina Macavinta is the Global HR Head of Ayala Corporation seconded to
Integrated Micro Electronics Inc. She provides strategic directions to the
different sites located in Europe, US and Asia to ensure organizational
health, culture alignment and compliance with prevailing labor laws in the
Host countries. Manages total of 13k employees globally.
Concurrently she functions as HR Head of Philippines quarters and oversees
the marketing and promotional activities of the company ensuring balance
between the desired image of both the Plant as a business partner and the
company. She also designs and implements customer care programs in
support of customer retention strategies of the company.
Monina also conducts market research and analyzes customer data with
particular focus on the voice of the customer and championed the design
and implementation of the first Ayala Group (AGC) Awareness and actual
Patronage Survey aimed at determining the level of awareness and actual
patronage of Ayala affiliated employees of the different AGC products and
services and has successfully implemented the re-organization of HR from
decentralized to a centralized set-up.

Shinya Yamamoto is a well known experienced HR Consultant in Japan
and is also a professor at University of Tsukuba, Graduate School of
Business Science. He is a former Partner and a lead consultant of HR
consulting group at Pricewaterhouse Coopers Japan, with 20+ years of
experience in Organisation and HR consulting.
Shinya’s consulting experience includes HR strategy development, HR
policy and program development, organisation design, organisation
development, HR development and trainings including leadership
development, change management, culture change, start-up HR, HR
Transformation, and numerous experience in HR at organisation change
such as at merger and acquisitions. His clients include electronics
manufactures, automobiles, IT and communication, pharmaceuticals,
chemicals, retails, other services, banks, insurance and other financial
industries.
Shinya Yamamoto has written HR books and many articles on professional
magazines. He is a frequent speaker at HRM/HRD related conferences and

Betty Lau is the Global Learning Director of Unilever. She manages the day-to-
day operations of Four Acres Singapore, a EUR 45 million Learning Center of
Unilever, opened in June 2013. The facility can accommodate a maximum of
450 participants and has 55 bedrooms on-site.
Manages 3 budgets; site operation budget of EUR 6 million, CAPEX budget of
SGD 8 million related to site facilities improvement and Program development
and delivery budget of EUR 15 million.
Drive efficiency and high service quality and manage 28 third party vendors who
provide services for the daily operations to the site. Design new and improve on
existing Core Leadership programs for Directors, VP and SVP levels associates.
Work closely with faculties from Accenture Leadership Institute to design a
revolutionary leadership program which aligns personal purpose of associates to
deliver positive business and societal impacts. This program is, currently being
delivered to the Top 100 Leaders in the company and starting in 2015, this will
be rolled out to the Top 650 Leaders over a 3-year period.
Provide coaching and support to in-country HR teams for the rollout of High
Potential and Watch Lister programs. Work closely with EDB to ensure delivery
of company’s commitment is met. Support EDB to realize their Home For Talent

Noorliza Nuruddin has been involved in the field of Human Resource
Development (HRD) for the past twenty-four years. Having served a
multi-national corporation and a government-linked company in her previous
employment, Noorliza has diverse experience in training and development,
people development, strategic management and operational management. In
these areas, she provided both training and consulting services to
organisations in telecommunications, constructions, shipping, petroleum, IT,
manufacturing and government agencies.
She has lectured in both private and public higher institute of learning in
Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development and General
Management.
Noorliza Nuruddin believes in life-long learning as a powerful key to personal

Nora Abd Manaf, is Group Chief Human Capital Officer, Maybank. Aside from leading the
People aspects of the ambitious transformation of the Maybank Group over the last 5+ years,
Nora is also actively engaged in the country’s financial and business employers’ circles in her
roles which include Chairman of the MCBA (Malayan Commercial Banks' Association),
Chairman of the Human Resource Management and Development Group (HRMDG) under
the sponsorship of IBBM and BNM (Bank Negara Malaysia) and Vice-President and Council
Member of the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF). Recently, Nora was appointed for a
second term as a Council Member of the country’s National Labour Advisory Council
(NLAC). Nora was also last year elected into the HR 50 World Top 50 Human Resource
Professionals.
Prior to joining Maybank, she was with Standard Chartered Group for over 9 years, where
her last held position was the Head of Human Resources, Scope International (a wholly

2010, and is currently enjoying her freedom and exciting life as Founder CEO of
Thrift Solutions, specializing in Internet Marketing of Holiday Rentals and
Entrepreneur Workshops. She also served as Audit Committee of Malaysian
Government Officers Cooperative in 2013-2014.
She actively volunteers in several NGOs, is a Founding Member and 2014
President of Commonwealth Asia Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs (CAAYE); as
CAAYE President, she has spoken at Commonwealth Regional Senior Officials
