Volunteers Training

We appreciate the support of our volunteers at

Modbury School. If you volunteer in anyway at

our school, for example reading in the

classroom, in our Garden or other areas it is

important to complete a Volunteer Registration

Form. Please see Michelle in the office who

can assist you.

To work or volunteer with children and young

people on Department for Education

sites you must do training about your child

protection responsibilities. Sites include schools,

preschools, children’s centres and out of school

hours care services. The training is called

Responding to Abuse and Neglect–Education

and Care (RAN-EC). It outlines your child

protection role as a team member in education.

About the training

RAN-EC training is how we make sure we all

have the same information and understand our

role working together to keep children and

young people’s safety and wellbeing at the

centre of what we do.

Modbury School will be holding the

RAN-EC course for volunteers on

Friday 3 May (Week 1, Term 2).

Please RSVP to Michelle via email

[email protected] or

phone 8264 2027.

Are you interested in attending? The

office will be open during the holidays

for any enquiries.

RAN-EC TRAINING FOR VOLUNTEERS

Friday, 3 May 2019

9am - 12pm

Session will be held in the School Gym

Morning tea will be provided

Please note this session is not suitable for small children.

Modbury School were invited to participate in

unique pop-up mini market event ’little

entrepreneurs’ at the Tea Tree Gully Library.

Students worked with Marisa, Aboriginal

Community Education Officer to prepare

homemade lemonade, Aboriginal painted

brooches and muffins to sell.

It was a great opportunity for the students to

learn about business from preparation/planning

to selling and talking to customers about their

products.

Thank you to Carly at Tea Tree Gully Council for

her support and assistance with the event. We

look forward to participating again.
