You Can Make a Difference—Your generous gift supports the accomplishments of the Mahomet-Seymour Education Foundation and enables continued funding of academic programs.

Gifts of any amount are appreciated. Your gift or sponsorship endorses the work of the Foundation and the school district. Make an investment in the future of our children, the leaders of tomorrow.

The Foundation is able to accept gifts of cash, checks, credit/ debit cards (online), gifts in kind, or as a designated United Way donation. Your gift to the Foundation can be taken as a charitable income tax deduction on federal returns, subject to the appropriate limits.

Matching Gifts—Your company may have a matching gift program, enabling your gift to have an even greater impact on our children’s educational opportunities.

Named Gifts—Named gifts such as awards, scholarships, and memorials reward our students for academic excellence and also provide funding special programs.

The Foundation is responsible for facilitating the awarding of several college scholarships to students from the Mahomet-Seymour school district. Scholarship applications will be available March 1 on the school website and due March 31.

THE FOUNDATION’S SCHOLARSHIPS

Initiatives and AccomplishmentsThese and other undertakings were achieved through the generous gifts of the supporters of the Foundation.

In 2016, MSEF partnered with Mahomet-Seymour High School to fund an innovative touch screen multimedia information center for students and the community in the newly renovated high school commons. The information center contains images of co curricular and extracurricular events, school and athletic calendars, and MSHS social media activity. It will also house the future M-S Alumni Hall of Fame.

Funded the purchase of 206 Chromebooks for the District in 2015.

Initiated and promoted the newly-created Mahomet-Seymour Alumni Association with the goal of connecting former students, teachers, coaches and the community. Visit alumni.mscusd.org for more information!

Funded full construction costs of the $200,000 district-wide greenhouse.

Funded Technology Launch 2011 and Technology Launch 2014, supporting more than $125,000 in technologically based applications benefiting the M-S schools.

Promoted academic excellence by awarding student awards at Lincoln Trail and the high school.

Promoted academic excellence by awarding twelve Jr. High School students the Luke Busch H.E.A.R.T. Award.

Funded over $50,000 in grant requests submitted by teachers from kindergarten through high school in the past 5 years.

Partnered with Mahomet-Seymour Secondary Schools PTO to honor high school students with academic letters.

Partnered with the art department to showcase the talents of M-S students through Celebrate Art.
