Important Notes: Read this entire document and make a plan for your week ASAP (important

because Assignment 2 is a fixed-time assessment this week!) Do Assignments in order please. Be sure to give yourself enough time to complete each assignment by the

due dates for learning purposes. Please Communicate with teacher with questions on week days before

Assignment 1: Practice timed write with 2014 Abigail Adams Prompt (30 minutes)Due before or on Wednesday, 4/22 by 9:00am before your Assessment (Assignment 2)Submit on MyAP; this is a credit/no credit assignment for you to practice writing a rhetorical analysis essay in a limited time; if student is unable to submit via MyAP, student should return packets to school office between 12-3 pm on Monday. If student cannot do this, then student should call the main admin office to make other arrangements after Monday!Directions for students submitting hard copies (who do not have access to MyAP):

1. Read and take notes on Abigail Adams Timed Write Practice (See pg. 4)2. Practice writing the entire essay in 25 minutes, considering your original opener and body

and body paragraphs (the one you submitted to turn-it-in last week)  2. Go to your MYAP account https://myap.collegeboard.org/login 3. Choose Abigail Adams Timed Write Practice (this will be open with your typed

paragraph document so that you can see the passage and timer) 4. Continue writing the entire essay on your document in 25 minutes; use the last 5 minutes

to cut and paste into MyAP 5. Cut and paste your document into the MYAP blank section under the prompt to

submit (please do this within the last 5 minutes) 6. Mentally consider what and how to improve for the assessment (Assignment 2) 

Assignment 2 (ASSESSMENT): Rhetorical Analysis Timed Write Assessment 1 (45 minutes--uninterrupted)Due between Wednesday, 4/22 at 9:00am-Friday, 4/24 at 4:00pm; this assignment is timed! Submit via MyAP; this is an assessment that will be scored with the AP Lang RA Rubric and given a corresponding grade; if student is unable to submit via MyAP, student should return packets to school office between 12-3 pm on Monday. If student cannot do this, then student should call the main admin office to make other arrangements after Monday!Directions for students submitting hard copies (who do not have access to MyAP):

1. Read and take notes on Rhetorical Analysis Timed Write Assessment (See pg. 8), and write the entire essay in 45 minutes (See pgs. 9-11 for where to write)

2. Have a parent or guardian sign your essay affirming that you wrote this entire assessment—reading, annotating, and writing in 45 minutes (See pg. 9)

*Directions for students with internet access--most simulates the AP exam (RECOMMENDED): 

1. Decide when to take your assessment between Wednesday, 4/22 at 9:00am-Friday,4/24 at 4:00pm (when you have 50 minutes of uninterrupted time; when you open the assessment, your timer begins) 2. Have scratch paper and a pen available 3. Open up a Google doc or Microsoft Word blank document (this will be open with your MyAP prompt) 4.
