RAISING AUSTRALIA
Raising Australia (100% Byrnecut) has a fleet of six raise drills for the mechanised development of accurate vertical and sub-vertical raises from 0.724m – 6.0m in diameter and to a length of 1,000m. Each of the machines has its own integrated tool carrier to move all ancillary equipment between sites which allows Raising Australia to be self sufficient when rigging up and down. This results in minimal disruption to the day to day running of the mine’s operation. Should you require a hole in the future please give Raising Australia the opportunity to assist in the construction of your holes.

Raisedrilling Business
A low profile raise drill machine capable of drilling conventional raise bores to a diameter of 1.8m and 150m in length. This is a compact machine and is able to operate in a 4.5m x 4.5m drive and operates on 1000V power.
ROBBINS 56R
This machine has the capability to drill holes up to 1,000m in length and to a diameter of 6.0m. The machine is low in profile and has an extended height of 5.7m compared to drills with the same capacity which require over 8m in height. The machine also comes with a diesel powered crawler which makes it easily transportable from site to site and from surface to underground.
ROBBINS 123RHC
The Weller 724 has been designed specifically to drill up hole slots in the production levels for the extraction of ore bearing material. The machine is a self transportable unit and does not require the long setup times or concrete pads. The machine drills 724mm up holes to a length of 30m and can dip from 90 – 45 degrees. When designing the machine Raising Australia addressed and engineered out the negative aspects of the older style machines. The end result is a machine that is self transportable, easier to set up and much safer than other machines out in the market place. The Weller 724 is currently undergoing full load testing on a mine site.
WELLER 724
The Robbins 61R is a low profile raise drill machine capable of drilling conventional raise bore holes to a diameter of 2.4m and 180m in length. This machine operates in a 5m x 5m drive and is perfect for slot holes and escape ways. This machine also operates on 1000V power.

Byrnecut is endorsed by the Australian Skills Quality Authority as a registered training organisation (RTO) to deliver nationally accredited training. All operator competencies result in the awarding of nationally recognised qualifications Byrnecut runs a supervisor development program which includes modules for risk management, communication and incident investigation. All modules are nationally recognised and also comply with Queensland & NSW government requirements for supervisors.
To ensure consistency across the sites Byrnecut uses a standardised safety & environment plan which includes mandatory requirements but allows sites to develop site specific initiatives allowing for continuous improvements. In the event of an incident occurring Byrnecut uses the incident cause analysis method (ICAM) for investigation, ensuring a high quality investigation with appropriate actions aimed at eliminating a reoccurrence. Byrnecut has developed an environmental management
system consistent with the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 14001—Environmental Management Systems. Byrnecut utilises a data management system to ensure events, training and actions are managed. This system produces on demand reports and automatically notifies users of safety events and actions in real time. Data can be provided to meet all national reporting standards and is in line with industry best practice. The Byrnecut internal auditing system is used to ensure compliance with company standards and applicable legislation. The audits are conducted twice per year at each project. To ensure Byrnecut maintains best practice safety management systems, external auditors conduct an audit against AS 4801 - Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. The audit report is reviewed by senior management and a corrective action plan developed as a part of continuous improvement. The continued use of the data management system and the audit system has had a positive impact on Byrnecut with regard to both the company’s performance on safety and quality issues and more importantly the employee’s attitude toward occupational health and safety.
