Scope: To pilot entry level APN
Objectives:
w To identify issues which may impact on the introduction of APN and migration to new nursing structure; and
w To examine the role and responsibility of APN within the existing nursing structure.
w Evaluation 12 months after the introduction of APNs in the work place w Questionnaire survey of APNs and their colleagues on issues relating to their role and working relationship in the clinical settings. w Specific interviews may be supplemented for specific areas of concern. w Focus groups discussions will also be conducted during the pilot period to provide a forum for communication and identify areas for improvement for newly appointed APNs.
