SRC5000, 6000 and 10000UXI Failures

● We have noticed the following common issue in these models:

● 010 DC Bus OverV● 016 DC Bus Low● 008 Charger Fail

●Let us look at these issue in detail and corrective action for the same.

010 DC Bus OverV

●The following Environmental issues can cause this fault:1. Inductive load2. Inverter is short with utility (by external manual bypass

switch).3. Generator Abnormal frequency and voltage input to the UPS

●The following UPS Internal fault:1. Wrong feedback circuit for bus voltage

2. Wrong detection circuit for bus voltage

Contd.,●Troubleshooting:

● If you notice the above mentioned fault in the field, please do the following:

●Check the load and ensure that the load is normal ● Check the Generator output frequency and voltage if available, and ensure that the Genset frequency is between 47-53 Hz and ensure that the frequency is not varying abnormally

● If the “010 DC Bus OverV “ fault clears after your restart the UPS, then upgrade the UPS firmware. Please contact your Regional APC tech specialist for the same.

016 DC Bus Low

● The fault is generated due to the following reasons:● 1. PFC/DC-DC circuit is fail● 2. Feedback circuit for BUS voltage is fail

● Restart the UPS and see if the fault clears. If the fault does not clear, then replace the unit and mention the fault code on the defective service tag.

008 Charger Fail

●This fault is generated due to Charger circuit failure.

● Please ensure that there is no third party external charger is connected to the unit. If it is connected, remove it and restart to see if the unit is working without fault.

● If the fault does not clear, then it indicates that there is an issue with the charger circuit.

BR1000G-IN and BR1500G-IN Fault Codes and Common Issues

● APC is noticing a lot of NPFs in these models. We have provided three refresher training on these models. We hope all of our FSEs are familiar with these models. If you have any doubts, please clarify all your queries regarding these products.

● Let us look at the common fault codes of these models.

NEW Master and Controlled outlets

●To conserve electricity, when the device connected to Master Outlet goes into Sleep or Standby mode, or turns Off, the Controlled by Master device(s) will shut down as well, saving electricity.

●Connect a master device, such as a desktop computer or audio/visual receiver to the Master outlet. Connect peripheral devices such as a printer, speakers, or a scanner to the Controlled by Master outlets.
