Methods: This retrospective observational study reviewed all skull base meningioma cases,which have been undergone radiosurgery at Gamma Knife Center Indonesia from July 2012 to June 2014. Fromgamma knife’s treatment planning archives, we FODVVL¿HG�LQWR�DJH��JHQGHU��WXPRU�ORFDWLRQ��WXPRU�YROXPH�DQG�SHULSKHUDO�GRVH�

Results:Of 27 cases, the median (range) age was 51 years old (13 – 70). Femalewas more predominant then male, which was 20 cases (74.1%) compared with 7 cases (25.9%). The most common location was sinus cavernosus 13 cases (48.1%) and clivus 6 cases (22.2%). The median (range) tumor volume was 10.86 cc (1.48 - 30.67). The median (range) radiosurgery dose, which we delivered to tumor was 16 Gy (12-20).

Conclusion: Radiosurgery is safe and effective treatment for small and moderate skull base meningioma. For large skull base meningioma and skull base meningioma that compresses brainstem or other critical neural structure, conventional dose fractionated radiotherapy is more suitable.
