Typography

The header font used is Champagne, it is a high impact sans serif font while using garamond for body text allowing for maximum readability at a small point size.

Logo

The logo utilises the fonts from the publication while emphasising the “f ” from garamond italic to connote the symbol for aperture. The design is simple and used as a symbol for the 60th anniversary apposed to trying to redesign the foundations already established logo.

Stock

There are three separate types of stock running through the publication to aid the break up of image and text. The stocks used are: Ice White, China White and Red all at 150 gsm¹.

04/05 Bind

The publication is hand bound with black thread in booklet sections to allow the different stocks and paper sizes to run through the publication. The bind has been pick on the basis that it allows the publication to open flat allowing maximum image spreads.

Articles

The use of two typefaces allow the break up conversations between two people and gives a form of hierarchy.
