Plastazote is a closed cell, cross linked, polyethylene foam designed to beheat formed at 275° F to a positive model or directly to a patient’s foot. Itscomfortable feel, purity, light-weight and conformability make it the standardmaterial for diabetic and arthritic foot management. The constant dynamicmolding of an orthotic with Plastazote will redistribute pressure away froma sore spot or bony prominence. Plastazote is available in four densities:Medium, Firm, X-Firm and Rigid.

Plastazote Combination SheetsPlastazote Double and Triple Combination Sheets are available withPlastazote pre-laminated to other state-of-the-art orthotic materials such asPPT and ThermoSKY. In addition, there are combination sheets comprisedof 2 densities of Plastazote - Medium/Firm and Medium/X-Firm. Theseheat moldable combinations save valuable fabrication time andprovide excellent shock absorption and cushioning for your patients. Seepage 27 for more information.

Evazote®Evazote is a closed cell, ethylene copolymer (EVA) foam designed torecover rapidly and cushion sensitive areas. Evazote is recommended forcombining comfort and resilience. It heat forms easily at 275° F.

ThermoSKY orthotic material is a high quality, cross-linked EVA foam designedto absorb shock while maintaining its shape. This light-weight material can beeasily heat formed or adjusted at 300° F. ThermoSKY retains its structuralintegrity, assuring that your orthotic will not bottom out under stress.

ThermoSKY combines well with Plastazote to produce a light-weightorthotic that will comfort and protect your patients with diabetes or arthritis.Other uses of ThermoSKY include prosthetic liners, orthotic posting, heel liftsand shoe elevations.

ThermoSKY can serve as a base, middle layer, or top cover for many types offoot orthotics. In addition, ThermoSKY in 55 or 65 durometer can be used forsoling purposes.

Carboplast Thermoplastic Plates are used to limit motion for conditions such as turf toe or hallux rigidus. Withmultiple sizes and shapes, different footwear can be made rigid without removing the sole. Carboplast plates areeasy to fit and finish and can be customized by grinding or heat molding. They can be heated and reformed byusing convection ovens at a temperature of 400° F for 3 - 7 minutes. The plates come in a variety of shapes andrigidities to meet all your patients needs.
