Introduction Obama the anti-Christ? Hardly… There are a few signs of the anti-Christ I noticed you left out which do not apply to Obama and your information on him is a little dubious to say the least. I’ve heard large numbers of people say that this person is the anti-Christ or that person is. This seems more to me like someone trying to persuade others to not vote for Obama for their own political reasons and disguising it with religion. Everyone running against someone supported by the Christian extreme right tends to be labeled the anti-Christ by someone in that group. I’ve heard it for decades and will continue to hear it for years to come, just like I heard, in a church during service no less, that the world would come to an end at the beginning of this millennium and that Saddam Hussein was the anti-christ, during the first Gulf War. Of course, in this country, religion and politics have become entangled in dangerous ways in order to boost the power of a few. Those in power and those wanting to control others have become very quick to jump on the religious bandwagon. Before anyone is actually interested if someone can lead and what they might do, the question of what religion they are seems to turn up. The current administration has no qualms using religion and/or patriotism to further their own interests and it seems the message is rubbing off on many of the people. If you aren’t Christian, you aren’t American, apparently. It’s the whole “You’re either for us or against us.” idea that’s been so prominent here lately. People with that kind of attitude tend to do more damage than good to both their country and religion. If I were a betting person, I’d say that this current time period will be looked back upon with gaped mouths and a uttering’s of “What were they thinking?”, which then becomes a bit of a misstatement since obviously a lot of people aren’t thinking.

Horseman known as War: In the bible it's mentioned in Matthew 24:6..."you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars...." The threat of war is around us. We know of the war in Iraq. There is still a lot of unrest in the Middle East. Russia is starting to give us the cold shoulder again. Russia supports a nuclear program for Iran. Iran doesn't like Israel and it goes on and on and on. What if Iran declares to have nuclear capabilities. Our intelligence agents learn that they are planning to do a preemptive strike on their enemy Israel. Then America would step in, we most likely would lay out a preemptive strike first on Iran and somewhere Magog aka Russia would make their move. Horseman known as Famine: Not a problem, with global warming on the horizon, we should easily have all sort of droughts throughout the world. Drought equals mass starvation. That should bring on some rising waters, destroy a few cities. Everyone listen up to Al Gore. We are headed for disaster! Horseman known as Death: If global warming really gets a good kick start, there should be a lot of drought hitting one of our biggest land masses...Africa. If wars and the threat of terrorism continues, we should see more of death. If diseases and plagues sweep around the world easily through mass air transportation, that should wipe out a majority of the human race. Yep, death should be all around us. It's already all around us.

Before we talk about some other Horsemen. Let's talk about a white buffalo calf. With all of the technology that we use, such as cell phones, computers and everything else, this solar flare could black out the whole world in one foul sweep! What disaster will this solar storm produce for mankind?

Since the Mayans knew astronomy so well, they were able to predict a fantastic alignment. Our galaxy has a center. In this center, in which billions of stars take millions of years to revolve around, is located in the thickest star cluster that is part of the milky way, as seen from Earth. On December 21, 2012, guess what happens? During the Winter Solstice, this center will align with our own sun. This alignment was seen as significant to the Mayans. New Horsemen Known as Comet: Some people who dabble with the bible code, think that Earth will be impacted by a comet. This one I don't buy, now if they were talking about asteroid 99942 Apophis impacting us in 2029 or 2036, that one I could swallow. But, the way NASA recently shot down a satellite, we most like would be prepared for a threat from an engaging asteroid or comet.

With all of the Horsemen looming down upon us, I hope Zecharia Sitchin is correct that he says that Planet X aka Nibiru is nearing a close orbit towards Earth.

Perhaps Anu and his two sons Enki (Ea) and Enlil, if they ever stop feuding for a while, will gather the rest of the Anunnakis to save us from a futuristic doomscape. The only reason why I mention Planet X, is because there are many believers who believe in the second coming and that we will all be saved. For those who believe the words of the Summerian clay tablets, they believe Planet X will return to close proximity to Earth and a new age will be brought forth, as the Anunnakis reveal themselves once again to mankind. We will learn that our myths and religions were actually centered on the gods from Nibiru. Stories of Poseidon and Neptune are in reality the story of Anu as he returned to Nibiru to dominate the seas and waters. Perhaps the Mayans received their astronomy know-how from the gods. Apostasy - Barack Hussein Obama - is he a closet Moslem

One of the most entertaining opportunities that will emerge in 2007 will be using Barack Obama to fight Islamofascism. He is the product of a black Moslem from Kenya, Barrack Hussein Obama, and a white atheist from Kansas, Shirley Ann Dunham, who met at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. That is why his middle name is the same as Saddam�s: Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. His first name is taken from the Islamic term in Arabic for �blessed,� baraka, used in the Koran. His father deserted the family when Barack Jr. was two and returned to Kenya. His mother then married another Moslem studying at UH, Lolo Soetoro from Indonesia. He moved with his mother and stepfather to Jakarta when he was six, where he attended a Moslem medressa (religious school). That makes him a Moslem. Again, the key is taking Obama at his word that he is a Christian and not secretly a Moslem. No accusations necessary. The point is that Moslems view him as first a Moslem, not that he does. Moslems will be infuriated with him for embarrassing them, Americans will tell themselves never to vote for someone with Hussein in their name to be their president � and it just might get a number of influential Moslems to abandon an important part of Islamic law. James Dobson says Barack Obama is distorting Biblical teachings to fit "his own confused theology."

In comments aired on his radio show Tuesday, Focus on the Family founder James Dobson criticized the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee for comments he made in a June 2006 speech to the liberal Christian group Call to Renewal.

In the speech, Obama suggested that it would be impractical to govern based solely on the word of the Bible, noting that some passages suggest slavery is permissible and eating shellfish is disgraceful.

"Which passages of scripture should guide our public policy?" Obama asked in the speech. "Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery is OK and that eating shellfish is an abomination? Or we could go with Deuteronomy, which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith? Or should we just stick to the Sermon on the Mount? "So before we get carried away, let's read our Bible now," Obama said, to cheers. "Folks haven't been reading their Bible." He also called Jesus' Sermon on the Mount "a passage that is so radical that it's doubtful that our Defense Department would survive its application."

In the comments aired Tuesday, Dobson said Obama should not be referencing antiquated dietary codes and passages from the Old Testament that are no longer relevant to the teachings of the New Testament. Listen to Dobson blast Obama's biblical interpretations »

"I think he's deliberately distorting the traditional understanding of the Bible to fit his own world view, his own confused theology," Dobson said, adding that Obama is "dragging biblical understanding through the gutter."

Responding to Dobson's comments Tuesday evening, Obama sharply disputed the suggestion he was distorting the Bible.

"Someone would be pretty hard pressed to make that argument," he told reporters aboard his campaign plane. "It is a speech that affirms the role of faith not just in my life but in the life of the American people, that suggests that we make a mistake by trying to push faith out of the public square." "I do make the argument that it's important for folks like myself, who think faith is important, that we try to translate some of our concerns into universal language so we can have open and vigorous debate rather than having religion divide us," Obama said. "And I do suggest that the separation of church and state is important. But there's no, no theological work being done in that speech in terms of the Bible."

Joshua DuBois, Obama's national director of religious affairs, said the Illinois senator is "committed to reaching out to people of faith and standing up for American families." "A full reading of his 2006 Call to Renewal speech shows just that," DuBois said. "Obama is proud to have the support of millions of Americans of faith and looks forward to working across religious lines to bring our country together."

DuBois had earlier called Focus on the Family to suggest a meeting with the group ahead of the Democratic Party's convention in late August, according to Tom Minnery, the organization's senior vice president for government and public policy.

Minnery wouldn't say whether any such meeting is planned but said the group is open to it. Dobson also takes aim at Obama for suggesting in the speech that those motivated by religion should attempt to appeal to broader segments of the population by not just framing their arguments around religious precepts.

"Democracy demands that the religiously motivated translate their concerns into universal rather than religion-specific values," Obama said. "It requires their proposals be subject to argument and amenable to reason."

Dobson said the suggestion is an attempt to lead by the "lowest common denominator of morality." "Am I required in a democracy to conform my efforts in the political arena to his bloody notion of what is right with regard to the lives of tiny babies?" he asked. "What he's trying to say here is, unless everybody agrees, we have no right to fight for what we believe.

"What the senator is saying there, in essence, is that 'I can't seek to pass legislation, for example, that bans partial-birth abortion, because there are people in the culture who don't see that as a moral issue,' " Dobson said. "And if I can't get everyone to agree with me, than it is undemocratic to try to pass legislation that I find offensive to the Scripture. Now, that is a fruitcake interpretation of the Constitution."

According to Minnery, Dobson was particularly offended by a portion of the speech in which Obama mentioned evangelical leader and the Rev. Al Sharpton. In the speech, Obama said, "Even if we did have only Christians in our midst, if we expelled every non-Christian from the United States of America, whose Christianity would we teach in the schools? Would we go with James Dobson's or Al Sharpton's?" In response, Minnery said, "Many people have called [Sharpton] a black racist, and [Obama] is somehow equating [Dobson] with that and racial bigotry."

Dobson's comments follow the Obama campaign's recent efforts to increase its appeal among evangelicals, many of whom have expressed reservations about supporting Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee. Dobson himself has said he will not vote for the Arizona

senator. Minnery said he doesn't expect Obama to make inroads into the reliably Republican voting bloc.

"Evangelicals are people who take Bible interpretation very seriously, and the sort of speech he gave shows that he is worlds away in the views of evangelicals," he said.

Minnery also said Dobson will probably continue his criticism of Obama.

Despite all evidence to the contrary it appears that Barack Obama is not really a Christian. He is not a Muslim, but he is not a “real Christian” in “real America”. As part of the McCain campaign’s effort to “move voters away” from Barack Obama by any means necessary they have begun to employ a familiar refrain made popular by a Democrat. Senator John Edwards coined the phrase that there were “two Americas” to highlight the disparity between the wealthy and the middle-class and poor. Somehow I don’t think he envisioned it being used like the Republicans are using it. You see according to them there are two Americas all right, one that is real and one that is “not real”? The real America is patriotic, hard-working, God-fearing, and lives in the rural areas of our country. They haven’t quite defined what values that the “other” America has but one could imagine that they would be the opposite of their values.

Barack Obama wants to share the wealth, according to these real Americans this is communism. According to real Americans the doctrine of helping those less fortunate is not what the Bible really means. What it really means is that we should help ourselves. That thing about the rich man and the eye of a camel doesn’t apply to us. God wants me to have all the desires of my heart. God wants me to be rich and happy. If God wanted them to have stuff he would have given it to them. So what real Christian would want to share the bountiful blessings of America with those poor misguided individuals? That part about God not being a respecter of persons doesn’t really mean that it doesn’t matter what you own or what you have, but what you do for others.

Barack Obama wants to end the war and make peace with our enemies. The god in real America does not want peace. The god in real America wants conquest and domination, thus his belief in weapons of mass destruction.

Barack Obama wants to unify our nation through inclusion. He believes that people all over the country are Americans, whether they live in cities, towns, or the suburbs. Regardless of their race, religious denomination, or social status they are all “real Americans” and are patriotic. The god in real America doesn’t want unity. He wants discord, strife, and chaos. The only real Americans are the ones living in rural America.

Barack Obama wants to provide healthcare to all Americans as a right. The god in real America believes that healthcare is a privilege to be given only to the wealthy.

Barack Obama wants to end our dependence on oil and stop the destruction of the earth. The god of real America loves oil and oil companies. He wants to drill more holes and destroy more land.

He doesn’t seem to really care much about the earth though. I guess he can always make a new one.

You see Christians in this real America have a different interpretation of the teachings of Christ and anyone who does not share their interpretations completely are not Christians. You see when the Bible says to love your neighbors the real Americans know that really isn’t what it means. What it really means is to love your neighbors if they look, talk, think, and believe as you do. If they do not then they are not real Christians and therefore this doesn’t apply to them.

In real America the Church rather than leading the society to understanding the principles of Christ they allow the prejudices of society to infect the Church. They claim religious persecution but how can this be possible when 90% of the people in America claim to be some form of Christian. This false persecution claim is outrageous when you are following the world that is supposed to be persecuting you. The world loves its own. If they want to see persecution they should try to live up to the principles of Christianity. Or better yet be a Muslim in America.

According to these real Americans God loves America. It is His favorite place to be. My question is that if God so loves America so much why isn’t it mentioned in the Bible? The reason it isn’t mentioned as well as any other country is because God doesn’t have a country, He has people and they live all over the world. According to these real Americans God values some humans over other humans and so they are justified to do the same. That stuff in the Bible about equality, tolerance, and peace only relates to those humans who God has chosen over the other humans. Barack Obama believes that all people are equal and have value to God. This disqualifies him from being a “real Christian”.

So Barack Obama is not a real Christian.

Barack Obama, the Antichrist? This would have to count as the ultimate political smear. I mean, accusing a politician of accepting bribes or cheating on taxes is one thing; naming him as the "Seven-Headed Beast of Revelation" (a.k.a. "the Wicked One," "False Prophet," and "Beast from the Abyss") is candidate bashing on an apocalyptic scale.

Though it is unclear what, besides being charismatic and popular, Barack Obama has done to earn this dishonor; outgoing Antichrist designee George W. Bush must be thrilled to see a newcomer wearing the ungodly mantle. Obama joins an extensive roster of modern luminaries branded with a "666," including Adolf Hitler, Vladimir Putin, Pope Benedict XVI, Bill Gates, and Barney the Dinosaur.

For the record, while Barack Obama is in his forties and by most accounts a persuasive speaker, he is not a Muslim (nor, for that matter, does the Book of Revelation say the Antichrist is a Muslim), nor has he ever delivered a stump speech promising "world peace."

What is the Antichrist?

The American Heritage Dictionary defines "Antichrist" as "the great antagonist who was expected by the early Church to set himself up against Christ in the last days before the Second Coming."

While Biblical in origin, the exact details as to the nature, identity, and chronological placement of the figure known as "Antichrist" have been the subject of endless speculation throughout history, partly due to the highly symbolic language of the scriptures in which it is mentioned, and partly due to sectarian differences in interpretation. Generally speaking, those who expect the Antichrist to literally appear in human form believe he will come to power as a world leader through deception and trickery, and "by peace shall destroy many," only to succumb to the superior might of Jesus Christ and the forces of righteousness at the final battle of Armageddon.

Who is the Antichrist?

Who is the Antichrist? Take your pick. In addition to the personages mentioned above, nominees over the past two thousand years have included the Roman emperor Nero, any or all Popes of the Catholic Church, Peter the Great, Napoleon, Friedrich Nietzsche (self-anointed), John F. Kennedy (who allegedly received 666 votes during the 1956 Democratic convention), Mikhail Gorbachev, and William Jefferson Clinton. And on and on the list goes.

Some say the Antichrist will be a Jew. Others say he'll be a Muslim. Others say a Catholic. Some say he will emerge in Russia, others the Middle East, and still others say he will be a leader of the European Union. The point to take away is that it's all speculation, and fanciful speculation at that. The Biblical passages mentioning the Antichrist are so obscure and fraught with mythic imagery that they require interpretation. And much of the interpretation they've been subjected to, unfortunately, is based on extra-Biblical assumptions, not to mention pseudoscientific borrowings from astrology and numerology.

Let's not mince words: it's bunk.

In two millennia of playing "Pin-the-Tail-on-the-Antichrist" (as author Jonathan Kirsch characterizes it in A History of the End of the World), no one has ever won the prize. Either the game is rigged, or those playing it don't have a clue.

Politics as unusual

If it wasn't intended as a political smear -- and we have no way of knowing, admittedly, what the true motivation of its author was -- we are entitled at the very least to conclude that this whisper campaign identifying Obama with the Antichrist is based in ignorance and fear. Ignorance, because the author knows next to nothing about the Biblical underpinnings of his or her claims (including the proper title of the Book of Revelation). Fear, because the author willingly foregoes reason for superstitious terror.

Obama, the man, is neither Christlike nor Satanic. He is an ordinary politician who happens to have a sonorous voice and the gift of gab. He also has a platform. What say we judge him based on his merits?

Although the Bible does not specifically name who the antichrist will be, it does give us some clues as to what he will be like.

Speculation

During my research I came across a lot of current speculation about the antichrist, who he is or who he might be. A great many unlikely guesses were among the suggestions. The most popular names to come up were George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and the Pope. I too have been accused of being the antichrist by a few of my readers who don't agree with a biblical perspective or an editorial I've written. However, it's highly improbable that one of these (Bush, Obama, Benedict, or Me) is the actual "son of perdition" spoken of in 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2.

The 27 Characteristics of the Anti-Christ Know how to recognize the beast and not be swayed into believing that someone is the Anti-Christ who doesn't match the biblical characteristics.

1. He comes from among ten kings in the restored Roman Empire; his authority will have similarities to the ancient Babylonians, Persians, and Greeks [Daniel 7:24; Rev 13:2 / Daniel 7:7] 2. Bible Names for Antichrist:

By taking a look at the different names for the antichrist in the Bible, we can gain a better understanding of the kind of person he will be.

Antichrist

The name "antichrist" is only found in 1 John 2:18, 2:22, 4:3, and 2 John 7. The apostle John was the only Bible writer to use the name antichrist. Studying these verses, we learn that many antichrists (false teachers) will appear between the time of Christ's first and second coming, but there will be one great antichrist who will rise to power during the end times, or "last hour," as 1 John phrases it. He will deny that Jesus is the Christ. He will deny both God the Father and God the Son. He will be a liar and a deceiver.

1 John 4:1-3 says, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world." (NKJV)

By the end times, many will easily be deceived and embrace the antichrist because his spirit will already dwell within the world.

Man of Sin

In 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, the antichrist is described as the "man of sin," or "son of perdition." Here Paul, like John, is also warning believers about the antichrist's ability to deceive:

"Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God." (NKJV)

The NIV makes it clearer that a time of rebellion will come prior to Christ's return and then the "man of lawlessness, the man doomed to destruction" will be revealed. The antichrist eventually will exalt himself above God to be worshiped in the Lord's Temple, proclaiming himself to be God. Verses 9 and 10 say that the antichrist will do counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, to gain a following and deceive many.

The Beast

In Revelation 13:5-8, the antichrist is referred to as "the beast."

"Then the beast was allowed to speak great blasphemies against God. And he was given authority to do whatever he wanted for forty-two months. And he spoke terrible words of blasphemy against God, slandering his name and his dwelling—that is, those who dwell in heaven. And the beast was allowed to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And he was given authority to rule over every tribe and people and language and nation. And all the people who belong to this world worshiped the beast. They are the ones whose names were not written in the Book of Life before the world was made—the Book that belongs to the Lamb who was slaughtered." (NLT) We see this name "the beast" used for antichrist several times in Revelation.

The antichrist will gain political power and spiritual authority over every nation on the earth. He will most likely begin his rise to power as a very influential, very charismatic, political or religious diplomat. He will rule the world government for forty-two months. According to many eschatologists, this time frame is understood to be during the latter half (3.5 years) of the tribulation. During this period, the world will endure a time of unprecedented trouble.

A Little Horn

In Daniel's prophetic vision of the end of days we see "a little horn" described in chapters 7, 8 and 11.

In the interpretation of the dream, this little horn is a ruler or king, and speaks, of the antichrist. Daniel 7:24-25 says, "The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time." (NIV)

According to many end times Bible scholars, Daniel's prophecy interpreted together with verses in Revelation, specifically point to a future world empire coming from a "revived" or "reborn" Roman Empire, like the one in existence at the time of Christ. They predict that the antichrist will emerge from this race.

Joel Rosenberg, author of fiction (Dead Heat, The Copper Scroll, Ezekiel Option, The Last Days, The Last Jihad) and non-fiction (Epicenter) books about Bible prophecy, bases his conclusions about the antichrist on extensive Scripture study including Daniel's prophecy, Ezekiel 38-39, and the Book of Revelation. He says that at first, the antichrist won't appear to be evil, but rather a charming diplomat. In an interview on April 25, 2008, he told Glenn Beck of CNN that the antichrist will be "somebody who understands the economy and the global sphere and wins people, a winsome character."

Rosenberg went on to say, "No commerce can be done without his approval. He will be ... seen as an economic genius, a foreign policy genius. And he will emerge out of Europe. Because Daniel chapter 9 says, the prince, who is to come, the antichrist, will come from people who destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple ... Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 A.D. by the Romans. We are looking for someone of a reconstituted Roman Empire ..."

False Christ

In the Gospels (Mark 13, Matthew 24-25, and Luke 21), Jesus warned his followers of the terrible events and persecution that will occur before his second coming. Most likely, this is where the concept of an antichrist was first introduced to the disciples, although Jesus does not refer to him in the singular:

"For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." (Matthew 24:24, NKJV)

A Matter of Warning

1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering

together unto him,

2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter

as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling

away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that

he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be

taken out of the way.

8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his

mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying

wonders,

10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not

the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

A Matter of Comfort

13But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because

God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and

belief of the truth:

14Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by

word, or our epistle.

16Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath

given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

17Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.

Conclusion Is the Antichrist alive today? He could be. Will we recognize him? Perhaps not at first. However, the best way to avoid being deceived by the spirit of the antichrist is to know Jesus Christ and listen, read, study, learn and obey His Word , the Holy Bible be ready for his return.
