App Depot Powered by Citrix©—PC and Mac Instructions The App Depot system can be used on college-owned and personal computers with the Windows and Macintosh
operating systems.
This system allows you to access your Home Directory or H:\ Drive (your personal storage area on the Sinclair
network) and Department Shares (departmental storage areas on the Sinclair network), and other applications
such as MS Office through a web browser on a PC or Mac. Additional applications will be added to App Depot
over time.
NOTE: You will need to install a Citrix Receiver app on your Windows PC or Mac the first time that you access App
Depot. You will need to be administrator on your Windows PC or Mac to install this app.
NOTE: Download, installation, and access times for this service will vary depending on your type of Internet
connection.
NOTE: The steps and screens that you may see on your computer may look different depending on which
operating system and which web browser you are using. The screen shots in this document are from Windows 7.
Complete the steps shown in the following pages to install and use App Depot on for the first time.
1. To access App Depot, enter the following exact URL in your web browser https://appdepot.sinclair.edu
2. Login with your Sinclair network username and password

8. When you see the message:
Installed Successfully
Click on Finish
9. You will then see the screen shown
below. Apps and services available
to you through App Depot will be
displayed.
To access an item, click on its name
For instance to access your H: drive or any
departmental shares you have access to, click on
Files and Folders

10.Click on Your Home Directory to access your H: Drive. It may take a few moments to open it.

11.Your H: Drive will open in another window. Open a file or folder to start working with items in your H: drive
12.To return to the main menu, use your browser’s back arrow or click on Main

13.Click on Office 2010 to access that suite’s applications
14.Click on Word 2010
15.A blank Word document will open in another window

16.When you are finished using App Depot, for security purposes, close any open app windows such as your H:
drive etc. and log off of App Depot.
17.After logging off, you will see the message below about also closing your browser window. This is especially
important if you are using App Depot on lab, classroom, or public computers.

NOTE: To access App Depot for future sessions after the installation and initial setup, open your web browser
and go to:
https://appdepot.sinclair.edu
Login with your network username and password:
NOTE: App Depot will
timeout after a period of inactivity.
