1. Mr. S. Venkkatesh, Chairman Mr.S.Venkkatesh a passionate leader and a long track record of successful management is the Managing
Trustee of V.S.V Vidya Mandir Charitable Trust and the founder Chairman of Sree Saraswathi
Thyagaraja College (STC). He is an inspiring and motivational leader with first rate interpersonal skills.
With his vast management directorship and leadership experience he has charted clear objectives for the
growth and efficient functioning of the institution. He ensures that all high-level decisions about policy
and strategy are made keeping in mind the broad objectives and vision of the institution.
Mr.Venkkatesh is associated with and holding key positions in several national and international business
and service organizations. He is the Vice President of Pollachi Chamber of Commerce and Industries
(PCCI). He plays a pivotal role in the activities of Chamber in promoting and developing farming,
industry, trade and services in the region. He represents Chamber in meetings with business and
commercial delegations from India and abroad. He firmly believes that ethical business practices and
corporate social responsibility are pivotal for any business organization.
A commerce graduate from the Madras University, Mr.Venkkatesh is a person gifted with strong
business acumen and commercial awareness. He is the President of BG Group of Companies with
subsidiaries in Coimbatore and Tirupur districts. The group with the highest ethical standards and
business practices has successfully sustained for the past sixty years and has grown to become one of the
many flourishing organizations in the locality. Mr.Venkkatesh is the pillar behind the group‟s success
and has the experience of dealing with some of the biggest FMCG companies in the country with the
likes of ITC, Hindustan Unilever, Nestle and more. The major strength of his organization is the trust and
reputation among its customers and as the President of the group, Mr.Venkkatesh ensures that there is no
compromise in delivering the highest customer satisfaction.
His deep interest towards social and communal service made him a charter member of the Pollachi
Rotary Club. For his exemplary service and contribution towards the society he was awarded the
prestigious Paul Harris Fellow Award named after the founder of Rotary. As the Past President of the
club, he has played key role in several activities of the club over the past three decades. The Polio
eradication camps and the erection of modern electric crematorium projects are some of the many note-
worthy projects in which he played key roles.
Mr.Venkkatesh as Chairman of the college ensures institutional effectiveness through professional
management. He demonstrates a strong personal commitment to promote institution‟s values, aims and
objectives. With high degree of personal integrity, Mr.Venkkatesh acts fairly and impartially encouraging
all board members to work together effectively, contributing their skills and expertise and building
consensus among them. He chairs meetings of the various STC boards – governing body, college
committee and other advisory committees and ensures that they function effectively. His commitment to
make STC achieve high recognition in the field of education has made STC to grow from strength of 37
students in the year of conception to current strength of about 3000 students.
2. Lion. M. A. Vijayamoghan, Vice - Chairman
Lion. M. A. Vijayamoghan is a graduate in Economics from Madras Christian College. He has acquired
more than 35 years of experience in commerce and business management. He owns many business
enterprises, which deal in Telecom, FMCG, Textiles, Agro based products, Petroleum products etc. He is
managing a textile spinning unit, a rice mill, coffee and cardamom plantations and a distribution
company. He is the executive member of the Pollachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Director
of Pollachi Viyabarigal Sangam. He is also a core group trainer of District 324B1 of Lions Club
International and also a recipient of International Leadership award from Lions Club International.
Currently he is the Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the Management Board of Sree Saraswathi
Thyagaraja College.
3. Lion. T. Sethupati, Secretary Lion. T. Sethupati is a post graduate in Agricultural Science (M.Sc., Ag.) from Tamil Nadu Agricultural
University. On completion of his studies he has taken over the family business, which is known as B.G.
Group, a well-diversified sales and marketing organization, representing many multinational companies.
He is an executive member of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, Secretary of
Pollachi Merchants‟ Association and Trustee of Sri Kannika Parameswari Amman devastanam. He is
also a past president of Pollachi East Lions Club. Currently he is the Secretary of Sree Saraswathi
Thyagaraja College.
4. Dr. M. Settu, Director General Dr. M.Settu is a Commerce Graduate from NGM College, Pollachi and an outstanding MBA graduate of
PSG Institute of Management (PSGIM), a top rated B-School. He won several academic awards namely
“Outstanding MBA Award” in 1982, „Best Alumnus Award‟ from his school and „Outstanding Alumnus
Award‟ and GOLD MEDAL from his College.
Dr. M. Settu is the CEO of Syndicate Exports Pvt. Ltd., an ISO 9001 & 14001 accredited manufacturer
and exporter of refractory products. He is a Fellow of All India Management Association and currently
serves as the President of the Coimbatore Productivity Council. He has also served as the President of the
Coimbatore Management Association, Governor-Nominated Member of the Planning Board and Senate
of the Bharathiar University, Convener/ Chairperson for the Educational Panel of the Confederation of
Indian Industry and Chairman of PSG Management Alumni Association, Coimbatore.
He also serves as the Member of the Zonal Council of Confederation of Indian Industry, Member of the
Education Panel, SME Panel and HR Panel of the CII and Executive Committee Member of the Indian
Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a Special Invitee to the Executive committee of CODISSIA
(Coimbatore District Small Industries Association). He has acquired more than 30 years of Corporate
experience in Business Management, Finance and Corporate Planning, Strategic Management, Policy
Formulations, Quality Management Systems, Management of International Business, Technology
Management, Joint Ventures & Foreign Collaborations, Commercial Management, Labour
Administration and Project Management. Mr. Settu is on the Academic and Governing Boards of various
B Schools and Higher Educational Institutions offering degrees in Engineering, Management,
Commerce, Arts and Science courses affiliated to Anna University, Bharathiar University and
Bharathidasan University.
He is a writer, a poet and has published books, articles, presented many papers and addressed thousands
of students, teachers, entrepreneurs and professionals on Management, Economics, Commerce, Nation
Building, Social Responsibilities of professionals, ethics and value based living. He also serves as
Honorary Management Advisor/Director for many organizations including many Trusts and Foundations.
Mr. Settu is the Founder Director and currently serves as Member of the Board of Management in the
capacity of Director General of Sree Saraswathi Thyagaraja College, Pollachi.

i) For general assessment of teaching staff. Feedback is obtained from all students in an ISO
designed form, using non departmental staff. Consolidated at the college level and used for staff
performance assessment along with staff own self assessment.
ii) An exhaustive specially designed feedback form for qualitative input regarding teaching
ability of all faculties from students randomly selected from A, B and C category of students.
iii) Feedback from each student on each event beyond the academics such as seminar, guest
lecture and soft skill training, etc. All these excelling are collate and average derived.
Institutional Governance
Suggestion box are kept outside the principal office and in the administration office, where
suggestion note are dropped by the students with or without their names. These are regularly
analyzed, prioritized and action taken quickly and effectively.
10.11. Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students:
Students
i) Suggestion box in which students drop a note regarding their grievances, if they want to remain
unanimous. These are again analysis and effective action taken immediately.
ii) There is a grievance committee to which students can represent directly and such representations
are analyzed by the grievance committee and recommendations made. These are acted upon
immediately.
iii) There is a separate women‟s grievance committee consisting of lady staff members and it‟s operate
in the same way.
iv) In the event of discipline related issues a separate discipline committee investigates the same with
appropriate recommendations and actions.
v) The students are encouraged to meet the deans and principal directly in the event of grievances
which cannot wait for the earlier process.
vi) A separate centre for counseling operates and counsels the students, if the grievance calls for
counseling.
Staff
All the administrative staff is encouraged to represent the grievances directly to their supervisors,
they are also free to represent directly to higher authorities like deans, principal and governing
body either in person or in writing, such grievances are handled with care and caution to keep the
motivation of the staff at high level.
Faculty
The grievances of the faculties are generally handled by their direct representation to
concern deans in the event of faculty not being satisfied they can represent to a separate faculty
grievance cell.
