They are replicas of two figures from the Royal Artillery Memorial,
Hyde Park Corner, London. Wipers shows a grim-faced soldier in a pose
of readiness, while The Driver shows a man engaged in an ancillary
occupation, directing others (Hedger, 1995: 28).
