Automatic roll-fed thermoformers for forming/punching toolsForming/Punching technology has a long tradition at ILLIG and represents reliable manufacture of molds with minimal tolerances. One domain of this technology is production of yogurt and margarine containers. High cycle numbers and optimal mold quality are some of the attributes here.

Form, fill and seal linesThese innovative ILLIG systems guar-antee a narrow process chain with re-duced logistics and production costs. Because the container forming, filling and sealing of full containers is per-formed on the one machine. This sat-isfies all the important requirements with respect to performance, function and sterility.

Skin and blister packaging machinesSkin and blister packaging optimally put the most diverse products in the limelight and have a strong sales-pro-motion effect. More productivityThe forming air volume, reduced by up to 50%, makes possible quicker, contoured molds and thus a higher cycle number. Extended maintenance intervals, ma-chine and tool life reduce the running costs.

Simple preventative maintenance and robust technol-ogy reduce the downtime and increase the machine's availability. And the new start automatic machine SAS-UP® (Self-Adapting-Startup) guarantees optimal production results from the first cycle. This minimizes the tendency to develop faults, as well as the reject rate.

Less energy requirementThe optimized tool cooling system with up to four individually adjustable cooling circuits functions reli-ably in water up to 18° C.

Energy-consuming cooling-down periods to previ-ously required 12° C are dispensed with and savings on electricity are also made.

Less material consumptionThe dynamic pressure level controller of the holding-down device avoids the previously obligatory bead at the top container edge.

The previously unused "bead material" can be drawn into the side wall.

This makes possible the use of thinner materials and reduces the material costs by roughly 10%.

Improved product qualityIn place of previously typical central forming air-pres-sure build-up for all tool activities the forming air is now supplied separately to each cavity. The material is shaped at the same time and is completely uniform.
