Prefabricated Floor and Wheel Tub KitTheCamaroprefabricatedfloorkitreplacesALLflooranddrivetrain-tunnelsheetmetalfromthebaseofthefirewalltothereartaillamppanel.Largesheetmetalspansarebead-rolledtostrengtheneachpanel,significantlyreducingflexandvibration.Tofacilitateclean,rapid,andaccurateinstallation,foldedlips,insetlapjoints,andplug-weldholesaredesignedintoeachcomponent.
Toaccommodatethesignificantlyloweredrideheightoftheframesystem,thetransmissionandtunnelhavebeenmovedupward.ThedrivetraintunnelprovidesadequateclearanceforthelargerT-56transmissionanddual3”-diameterexhaust.
Therearfloorpanelsfeaturecontouredflaresforexhaustclearance;notetheintricatefitofthetunnel,floor,andrearseatpan.Theheightofthedriveshafttunnelsectionandwheeltubsalsohintatthepositionoftherearendhousinginrelationtothevehiclefloor.Theseatpanandrearfirewallshowthepre-drilledplug-weldholes,asimplebuttimesavingfeature.
