Coat & Food DriveIn order to make a difference in our community and support the INN of Hempstead this Winter, Nassau Financial Federal Credit Union held a coat drive to help provide winter wear to men, women, and children this holiday season. We were also delighted to partner with the INN at the New York Mets Food Drive. Thank you to everyone who has donated for a cause this holiday season.

We are proud to support our community and celebrate the efforts of so many great organizations, including but not limited to:

Wow! Where did 2018 go? Over the past year, we have been busy working to make your banking experience with Nassau Financial more convenient and to provide you with the tools you need to make solid choices when it comes to your finances. In 2018, we returned to Nassau University Medical Center with a new branch, and relocated our East Meadow office to 2575 Hempstead Turnpike. We also launched our new Website and seminars to help you prepare better for the future.

In 2018, we were very active in the community to try to make a difference and help others. Our Team Members at Nassau Financial participated in a variety of walks, volunteered to help non-profits in Nassau County, collected toys, food and clothing to help those in need, and partnered with various organizations to make our neighborhoods a better place to live and work. Our industry was founded on the principles of people helping people. At Nassau Financial, we pride ourselves on being involved in the community through volunteerism; it is a great way to help others.

With the new year, most people come up with New Year’s Resolutions. Research shows that the top three resolutions we plan for the new year are to eat healthier, get more exercise, and to save (more) money. While we would like to help you with the first two mentioned, we will stay focused on helping you with the third. At Nassau Financial, we are committed to help you with saving more money and to prepare for the proverbial rainy day. Throughout the year, we will be offering various seminars and Webinars designed to help you achieve your financial goals. We will also continue to deliver new tools that will help you manage your financial life a little easier. Annual Elections

Presently, there are two (2) positions up for re-election on the Board of Directors. These vacancies will be filled by the Annual Election at the upcoming Annual Meeting. These are volunteer positions. No member of the Board or any other committee shall, as such, be compensated, as per section 1761a of the Federal Credit Union Act. On January 1, 2019, the Chairman of the Credit Union will appoint a Nominating Committee, whose duty is to nominate at least one member for each vacancy.

Additional Nominations

Nominations for vacancies may also be made by petition (as nominations cannot be submitted from the floor during the meeting) and filed with the Secretary of the Credit Union, in accordance with the following procedure no later than April 17, 2019:

1. A petition must be prepared and signed by one percent (1%) of theCredit Union membership eligible to vote (approximately 270 members).

2. A brief statement of the nominee's qualifications andbiographical data, in similar form to those above, must be submitted.

3. All such nominations shall be accompanied by a signed certificate fromthe nominee stating that the individual is agreeable to the nomination andwill serve if elected to office.

4. Nominations by petition and/or questions regarding the nominatingprocedures should be directed in writing to:

Board Secretary, Nassau Financial Federal Credit Union 865 Merrick Avenue, Suite 250N, Westbury, NY 11590.

Upon receipt of such petition(s), the Secretary of the Credit Union shall cause such nominations, along with those of the Nominating Committee, to be posted in the Credit Union lobby, no later than April 24, 2019 and entered on the official election ballot.
