Explore current public health issues and gain a solid foundation for the applicat ion of innovat ive approaches to rapidly evolving public health pract ices and research. The interprofessional nature of the MPH program at Old Dominion University offers unique opportunit ies to work with a large network of graduate and undergraduate students, internat ional and community organizat ions, and diverse health professionals. Students develop skills in applied public health research, data management, community health improvement, and environmental health intervent ions locally and around the world.

MASTER OF PUBLIC HEALTH (MPH)

- are employed by nat ional and local governments, the uniformed services, and not-for-profit public and private sector organizat ions;

- work with internat ional organizat ions to address global environmental health agendas;

- become familiar with environmental health challenges in the U.S. and around the world;

- study a broad range of 21st century public health issues such as health and food safety, foodborne illnesses, air and water quality, hazardous materials, disaster preparedness, risk assessment, sea level rise, climate change and environmental health policy.

- 5 semester program (43 credits).- No GMAT or GRE required.- Foundational courses are taken in the first year.- Flexible learning with in-person, online and hybrid courses.- Earn an MPH and Global Health graduate cert ificate
