Our goals are to educate the

physical therapy resident to: Program Overview

Clinical practice:

Rotation through our main medical services including: general and orthopedic surgery, neuro/neurosurgery, general medicine, sol-id organ transplant, cardiothoracic care, and oncology

Extensive experience in four different ICUs (surgery, medicine, cardiothoracic, and on-cology)

Teaching:

Education of physical therapists related to the translation of research into practice

Participation in the didactic and practical education of entry-level physical therapy students

Didactic and Clinical Mentoring:

1:1 mentoring with DPT faculty members,

and with expert clinical staff

Weekly 1:1 clinical mentoring in direct pa-

tient care with skilled primary and adjunct

mentors who are expert clinicians in their

area of practice

You’ll spend a minimum of 32 hours in clinical practice each week and receive 150 hours of one-on-one mentoring over the course of the

year, allowing you to integrate newly acquired knowledge and skills into patient care

The resident is a salaried position at the University of Washington. It includes medical and dental benefits, sick leave, two weeks of vacation and eight state-observed holidays.

Position: Physical Therapist Location: Ocean Beach Hospital and Medical Clinics - Ilwaco, Washington The Ocean Beach Hospital and Medical Clinics is looking for a Physical Therapist to support an established Physical Therapy program at our facility. The Physical Therapist provides skilled physical therapy to patients/clients with a wide variety of diagnoses and disabilities both in an inpatient and outpatient setting in accordance with a physician’s plan of treatment, taking into account the individual needs of each patient. Requires skills in patient/client evaluation and treatment, as well as professional consultations to achieve maximum patient/client independence in accordance with the individual’s functional level and potential. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the Ocean Beach Hospital and Medical Clinic’s mission.
