OLD APPRENTICESHIP PROVISION (FRAMEWORK) NEW APPRENTICESHIP PROVISION (STANDARDS)

The changes were introduced to increase flexibility of delivery, increase theeffectiveness of training and to give employers more control in designing apprenticeships.

What are your responsibilities as an employer ?
There must be a genuine job available with a contract of employment covering the duration of the apprenticeship (normally 1-2 years).
Employers must pay an apprentice a wage and the role must help them gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to achieve the apprenticeship, with support from the employer and the training provider.

ITEC will support your organisation and the apprentice throughout the entire apprenticeship journey from the recruitment process, delivery
