The Pawnee County Humane Society has been attending quite a few city council meetings lately. The Agreement with the City to manage the new Animal Shelter has been finalized and signed! Planning and construction can now begin! We hope it will be soon! The PCHS also asked for and received permission to being a feral cat Trap/Neuter/Release program. This program required the city ordinance be amended to allow for the feral cats to be released. This program is funded by the Summerlee Grant that we received earlier this year. We are very excited about these two programs. If you would like to know more or would like to volunteer just give us a call or check out the website www.pawneehumane.com! The PCHS is nearly out of T-shirts! This means that we will be ordering a new batch of them soon. We are looking for a few more sponsors for the shirts! Catch

Catch was dumped at the vet over a weekend. The staff found him on Monday morning waiting

for them in the parking lot. He is a 9 mo. old neutered male mix breed. He is about 40 lbs. A friendly boy that gets along with everyone and everything. Looking for his forever home! Call

Steve is a 4 month old Pekingese/Chihuahua mix. He’s a cute little guy that makes friends fast. He’s working on being housebroken while he’s in foster care. Steve will be about 15 lbs. full grown. Lilly and Holly are 5 month old mixed breed girls. They are very sweet and playful. Both pups were

found abandoned outside one of the local vet clinics on a Saturday morning. They were

sleeping in the flower bed when the vet came in. They have had their first shots, been de-wormed
