Under the leadership of Dean Jeremy

Brown, Yuba College was notified on

March 26, 2019 that it has been selected

to participate in the 2019-2020 Strategic

Enrollment Management (SEM) Program.

The college’s notification letter stated

that the college demonstrated an exceptional commitment

to advancing students’ goals and embodied the aspirations

of the IEPI SEM Program. The CCCCO is excited to work

with the college’s team as we undertake this ambitious,

albeit achievable, project that will ultimately improve the

college’s operations and have a meaningful impact on stu-

dents’ lives.

CCCCO advised that the college will soon be assigned coaches to work with its SEM team to support develop-

ment and implementation of its SEM project. In addition

to coaches, the SEM Program offers resources, tools, and

professional development opportunities for the college

and its project team, including self-assessment training,

SEM Institutional Self-Assessment, and two site visits and

monthly check-in calls with SEM coaches.

The 3rd Annual Student Veteran’s

Veterans Resource Center was

held April 6, 2019, at the Oli-

vehurst VFW Hall.

served during Vietnam. Each Veteran was asked to sign a

flag that will forever be memorialized in our hearts and

displayed proudly on the walls of the Yuba College VRC.

Honorees included recently retired

YCCD employee, Phillip Steck.

Those in attendance were treated

to a performance of “What a

Wonderful Life” by Yuba College student Liz Sutton. Liz studies un-

der the direction of Aya Ueda.

for1 admission to the April 13,

2019 Sierra Winds performance.

onson in Public Events. If you
