Hosanna!! With Palm Sunday, we finished the Len-ten season and we began Holy Week, time in which the passion, crucifixion, death and resurrection of Our Savior

Jesus Christ is celebrated. With palms up and singing "Hosanna in the highest!" We symbolize the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem and we acclaim him as our King. Palm Sunday must be seen by us Christians as the mo-ment to proclaim Jesus as the fundamental pillar of our lives, just as the people of Jerusalem did when they re-ceived him and hailed him as Prophet, Son of God and King. I also invite all of you to participate in all the celebrations that we will have here in our parish, starting on Holy Thursday with the Holy Mass where we will remember the Institution of the Eucharist, on Good Friday, the Pas-sion of the Lord and Holy Saturday the Easter Vigil. Join us and be part of these special celebrations of Holy Week. May the Lord keep us and protect us with his love during this time and so we can rejoice with him at Easter! Hosanna!! Con el Domingo de Ramos terminamos el tiempo de Cuaresma e iniciamos la Semana Santa, tiempo en que se celebra la passion, crucifixion, muerte y resurrección de Nuestro Salvador Jesucristo. Con las palmas en alto y cantando “¡Hosanna en las altu-ras!” simbolizamos la entrada de Jesús en Jerusalén y lo aclamamos como nuestro Rey. El Domingo de Ramos debe de ser visto por nosotros los cristianos como el momento para proclamar a Jesús como el pilar fundamental de nuestras vidas, tal como lo hizo el pueblo de Jerusalén cuando lo recibió y aclamó como Pro-feta, Hijo de Dios y Rey. Igualmente los invito a participar en todas las celebra-ciones que tendremos aquí en nuestra parroquia, iniciando el Jueves Santo con la Santa Misa donde recordaremos la institución de la Eucaristía, el Viernes Santo la Pasión del Señor y el Sábado Santo la Vigilia Pascual. Acompañenos y sea parte de estas celebraciones tan especiales de Sema-na Santa. Que el Señor nos guarde y proteja con su amor durante este tiempo y así podamos recucitar junto al Él en la Pas-cua!

Today is Palm Sunday and the begin-ning of the holiest of Christian weeks. Let us pray for the grace to take up our own cross and to follow Jesus through death to new life.

The Characteristics of the Catechesis of the Good Shephard

17. A material is placed at the disposal of the children. The children’s personal work with material aids their meditation on and absorption of the theme presented. In set-tings where it is not possible to have an atrium yet, another valid instrument for an-nouncing the Christian message consists in the workbooks and catechists’ guidebooks: “I am the Good Shepherd”. The voice of the Good Shepherd can reach the child through different instruments, but regardless of the particular instrument, the voice of the Shepherd resounds in the depths of the heart. 18. The material must be attractive but “sober” and must strictly adhere to the theme being presented. In making the material, the catechist refrains from adding superficial embellishments which would distract the child from the essentials of the theme being presented. In other ewords, the material must be simple, essential and “poor” in order to allow the richness of the theses content to shine through.

17. Se pone un material a disposición de los niños. El trabajo personal de los niños con material les ayuda a meditar y absorber el tema presentado.
