She has also had six month dance contracts on several cruise ships around the world. She has performed in the Tony Grant Show in Atlantic City, New Jersey and the Broadway Showcase, New York City, and has worked for Walt Disney Entertainment Company. Marcia has studied dance, acting and voice from some of the finest teachers in NYC and Pennsylvania, including Skip Siegal, Maurice Hines, Frank Hatchet, Salvador Juarez, Henry LeTang and oth-ers. To this day, Marcia is always studying different styles of dance to bring fresh ideas to her students. She attended the Cecchetti Council of America Interna-tional Teacher seminar and the Dance Masters Classes in New York City. Since opening her studio in Haines City, Marcia’s students have performed in the Nut-cracker on Broadway, numerous cruise ships, fairs, festivals, parades and pag-eants. In the last five years, her students have performed three times in the Ma-cy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Carnegie Hall in New York City. Other ac-complishments of her students include roles in Broadway shows and students who were chosen to study with the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in London, Eng-land. Mrs. James is appreciative for the opportunity to work with Mr. Wilson, Mr. Frost, and the entire ensemble on this wonderful show. Outside of teaching and theatre, Mrs. James enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, and her pugs, and vacationing at Walt Disney World.
Director’s Note
Greetings!
Welcome to Ridge Community High School’s 5th musical production. Since our opening in 2005, Ridge Community has strived to challenge our students to create high quality theatrical experiences that challenge, move, and inspire. This year’s musical is the embodiment of our theatre department’s mission and vision!
High School Musical was a smash hit Disney Channel Original Movie that premiered in January 2006. It has since become the most success-ful Disney Channel Original Movie to date! It has inspired a whole gen-eration of youth to be themselves and has been equated to this genera-tions Grease!
Much like Troy and Gabriella, our students are pulled in many different directions, and through the challenges of academic, athletic and other extracurricular activities. Many lessons have been learned through this production as our students try to balance the weight of growing into adulthood and determining who they want to be as young adults.
We have reminded each of our young artists to discover the dream in their own hearts and to never back down from seeing it come to pass. Though our dreams will be tested and tried, we can all learn that we too can accomplish great things if we remain positive and never stop believ-ing in our abilities to overcome challenges.
Enjoy the show!
The Cast and Crew would like to extend a
special thanks to our administration!

A Message from our Principal
Dear Guests:
It is indeed an honor to welcome you to Ridge Community High School for our presentation of High School Musical. We are truly blessed to have such a talented and dedicated group of actors, stage technicians, musicians, dancers and staff sponsors. Our Fine Arts department has played a significant role on our campus for many years. Many long hours were devoted by all of them to bring this production to the stage.
We are proud of all of our student organizations and all of the ac-
complishments RCHS has achieved over the last 11 years. It is with
an admission of bias that I claim that we have the best high school
students and staff in the county. Please enjoy this wonderful musi-
cal production. It is just one more example of our belief that at
Ridge Community High School, “We are the brightest. We are the
best. We ARE the BOLTS!”
Enjoy the show!

Meet the Production Staff Mr. Cory Wilson (Director): Originally from Wadsworth, Ohio, Mr. Wilson was "raised in the theatre" participating in numerous community and regional theatre pro-ductions including shows at the Cleveland Playhouse, The Galaxy Dinner Theatre and Akron's Weathervane Community Playhouse throughout his youth. Mr. Wilson is a 2011 Theatre and Communications graduate from Southeastern University in Lake-land where he was named “Best Actor” in the Ember Awards. Mr. Wilson currently serves as Theatre Arts teacher at Ridge Community High School in Davenport, FL where he teaches both Introduction to Drama and Advanced Acting. Aside from di-recting the main stage shows at RCHS, Mr. Wilson can also be seen on stage at The-atre Winter Haven, recently named Florida’s most Honored Community Theatre. Last Fall, Mr. Wilson earned the distinction of “Best Actor” in the Theatre’s prestigious Pier-rot Awards. Mr. Wilson believes that every person can bring something of value to the study of theatre, and that through exploring the human condition, students devel-op not only academically, but also as grounded, well-rounded individuals able to par-ticipate in a variety of career paths and professions. Mr. Wilson recently graduated from Regent University with his Masters of Arts in Theatre, with which he hopes to build a collegiate level program here at RCHS. In his free time, Mr. Wilson enjoys exploring Walt Disney World, and spending time with his wife and daughter. Cory would like to thank the staff of RCHS for supporting the arts, Mr. Frost, Mr. Balach and Mrs. Marcia!

Mr. Frost has experience in production ranging from com-munity theater shows to professional TV productions and everything else in be-tween. With technical expertise in lighting, sound and video production, Mr. Frost is excited to be involved with RCHS Theatre. TV credits include technical contracting with: CNN, Fox News, NBC News, NBC Universal, and TNT Sports. Mr. Frost is excited to lead our technical crew here at Ridge and share his passion for the theatre with our stu-dents. Mr. Frost resides in Orlando and enjoys spending time at the local attractions and traveling whenever possible. ers in this production. The transformation of this show has also affected the personal growth of the cast. She is extremely proud of them and the hard work they put into this show. So thank you cast members for your dedication. I love you all! She would also like to thank those who have supported her throughout this journey.
