27.04.2013 – The DOF Group had a large representation at Saturday’s Bergen Marathon in Bergen, Norway. Departments organized teams to run the 21k relay, many individuals from the Storebø and Bergen offices ran the half marathon and 3 runners ran the full marathon. You could easily spot the DOF runners through the event, sporting the same light blue t-shirt with DOF’s logo on the sleeves and backside.

There was some healthy internal competition with the relay, and the team with the winning time was from the New Building department in DOF Management (1:33:18).

Three guys from the Group ran the full Marathon: Jon Helge Båtevik (3:42:45), Patrick Møgster (4:05:03) and Anders Storebø (4:48:55). Anders is pictured receiving handshakes from colleagues.

Congratulations to all of the participants. As you can see from the photos, it could not have been a more beautiful day in Bergen and everyone was in great spirits by the end of the day, meeting near the finish line in downtown Bergen to celebrate together.

It is just a small step in cementing the close working relationships we already have today between our offices & further develop mutual respect & understanding of the difficulties that can sometimes occur when multitasking with languages & cultures in addition to our normal busy daily tasks”.

Participants from the Aberdeen office have commenced on an introduction to Norwegian (Bokmål) course which will run each Friday for two hours for six weeks with Norwegian teacher Aina Middleton who now lives in Aberdeenshire. “The course is intended to be a bit of fun and hopefully everyone will manage to retain a basic understanding and some conversational phrases by the end of the course, however primarily the course is to help develop better understanding between Norwegian & English language cultures. We have all witnessed times when emails have been misunderstood or taken out of context accidentally, which has sometimes led to problems between colleagues. It will therefore hopefully

Organization Update

Dear all,

Please be informed that following changes have been made in the DOF Management organization since October 2012:

Norway Procurement

- Torfinn Kalve Jacobsen has started a one-year assignment. He started in DOF November 2012 as Purchase Assistant, and replaced Gjertrud Sæle in February 2013 as Purchaser. - Gjertrud Sæle is now on Maternity leave. Tom Jarle Eriksen has resigned and will leave the company during Spring 2013, date not set.- Victorita Chiscop started a 3 months as-signment as Purchasing assistant, in Febru-ary 2013.- Lars Heine Njåstad started in a new posi-tion as Chief Procurement Officer, he previ-ously held the position as HR Director.

HSEQ- Åge Ringdal started as HSEQ Adviser in January.

Newbuilding- Kjell Gustavsen left DOF Newbuilding as Project Manager and have seeked career op-portunities elsewhere.- Stian Haglind and Roy Hersvik has been ap- poited Project Managers for Newbuild-ing.- Ingebrigt Ølmheim has moved to Conver-sion & Re-building group for a period.

Fleet Management- Sr. Vessel Manager Leif Larsen retired

01.03.2013.- Vessel Manager Øyvind Sivertsen resigned 31.12.2013.- Jørgen Mørch and Tom-Erik Jensen started as Vessel Managers 02.01.13.- Sigve Drønen started as Vessel Manager 06.02.13. - Herulf Andersen moved from Norskan to DOF Management 28.02.13.- Jarle Hillestad has accepted an assignment as Senior Technical Advisor in addition to his daily tasks as Fleet Manager in Norway. The position is established to coordinate and align management systems, procedures and routines between DOF Management and Norskan, and he will in periods be work-ing in Norskan’s office in Rio de Janeiro. The assigment will be running till 2014.

Crewing- Beate Vassnes has resigned from her posi-tion as Jr. Crew Coordinator, and left in December 2012.- Synneva Edit Andersen has resigned from her position as Crew Coordinator, and left in February.- Olgunn Fjørtoft has resigned from her position as Crew Coordinator, and had her last day in the company 23.04.2013.- Brit Drønen and Katrine Drønen returned from Maternity leave 02.01.2013, Brit as a Course Coordinator and Katrine as a Project Adviser.- Crew Coordinator Magdalena Hevrøy Storebø returned from Maternity Leave in February 2013.- Nina Irene Addington Aase will start as Junior Crew Coordinator in June, and

Herbjørn Skumsnes will join as Crew Coor-dinator in August.

Accounting- Ingeborg Waage left for Maternity leave in January and Gøta Natås left for Maternity leave in March. Hanne Blix Lundø will be on Maternity leave until September 2013.- Gunn Solheim started as a Tax Controller in February, this is a new position in DOF Management.

HR- HR Coordinator Margrethe Njåstad is on Maternity leave until August/September 2013.

UK- Pat Dasgupta joined DOF as HSEQ Man-ager in December. - Wei Cheng Saik completed her temporary contract as Vessel Accountant 31.01.2013.- William Paterson has from February temporarily rejoined DOF management on a part time basis to assist the Technical team with project work.

APAC- In Singapore Kelly Leong, Assistant Ac-countant, resigned 13.03.2013 and was replaced by Sharon Teo.- Rosina Low joined in January to assist with invoice scanning.- In Perth Vessel Manager Trevor McLaugh-lin joined the company 12.11.2012. - Steve Velterop joined in Perth as QHSE manager in October.- Roy Garham-Measor joined in March as Safety Coach for the AP fleet.
