FREMANTLE VOLUNTEER CENTRE APRIL 2014 OPPORTUNITIES NEW AND URGENT POSITIONS The Town of East Fremantle Neighbourhood Link are on the lookout for volunteers to get involved in varied, supported and fun social activities with their aged members in and out of their centre in East Fremantle (46663). Can you cook? St Patrick’s Community Support Centre are looking for volunteers to plan and cook lunch for their clients on Thursday, Friday and Sunday mornings (47823). The Association for the Blind of WA in Fremantle has a number of volunteer positions available for Leisure Programme Assistants (39063) as well as volunteer Drivers (7799) for the Confident Living Programme. A Marketing and Media Officer is needed for The Duyfken 1606 Replica Foundation. Someone who can develop, write and produce marketing, promotional and media material, as well as provide advice and support on effective communications, including internal communications and marketing strategies (47876) Fremantle Volunteer Heritage Guides are looking for Round House Guides to inform visitors on the history of the Arthur Head Precinct. Volunteers are rostered according to availability usually once a week or once a fortnight. Applicants can request a day that is suitable for them. (6791) Australian Red Cross is looking for volunteer Sales Assistants at their Fremantle store on Market Street. The role involves stocking the shop with sale items, customer service, pricing and processing stock. The shop is looking for volunteers for every day of the week. (35990) Join the Conservation Volunteers for a day or two out in the beautiful bushland areas of Perth. You could be planting, removing invasive species, undertaking survey work or rehabilitating a site. We can be at a different location each day and could be anywhere along the coast, up and down the Swan and Canning Rivers or up in the hills. Both weekend and weekday volunteers are required. Perhaps you would like to help promote the harbour by handing out maps and information about Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour to members of the public and tourists at Pioneer Park in Fremantle. If so the City of Fremantle Fremantle Tourist Guide program is for you! Based out of the Fremantle Visitor Centre, the Fremantle Tourist Guides provide information and advice to visitors to Fremantle. Your role will include handing out of brochures, providing local knowledge & directions, assisting with visitor enquiries and referring visitors on to Visitor Centre staff for bookings. No previous tourism experience required but sound general knowledge of Fremantle is preferred (6423).
