Chan Grade 1 ISAer, Issa Belle Chan, with trainer Ms. Kristen Caday, and Grade 3 ISAer, Jacques Timtiman, with trainer Mrs. Dannisa Espiritu, both receiving their certificates and cash prizes for having won first honor in the elementary category of the MTAP Math Challenge individual-elimination round held on 15 January 2015 at Iloilo Central Elementary School. There were nine ISAers from Grade 1 to Grade 6 placing top three in the said competition, making this year as the most number of elementary learners who placed in the top three. MTAP Math CHALLENGE 2015 Elimination Nine G1-G6 ISAers Placed Top Three Forty-two elementary schools joined in the Metro Bank - Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines - Department of Education (MTAP Math Challenge 2015) Individual Written cum Elimination Round last 15 January 2015. The competition was held in Iloilo Central Elementary School. Nine ISA learners from Grades 1 to 6 managed to be at the top three places, ensuring all ISA grade levels to qualify in the next round, the Division Oral Team Finals. It is noteworthy that this is the first time for the school to have at least one contestant in each grade level to make it to the top three places. The following ISAers are the top three placers: Issa Belle Klarisse Chan (first honor, grade 1); Shana Camille Tiampong (first honor, first place, Grade 2), Julia Alessandra Ang (third honor, Grade 2); Jacques Simon Timtiman (first honor, first place, Grade 3), Sean Dominic Yap (second honorGrade 3); Gabriel Barlin (third honor, Grade 4), Ashley Gabrielle Sy (third honor, Grade 4); Neria Kryselle Ahhi (third honor, Grade 5); and Donna Kim (second honor, Grade 6). Alvin Jian HS MTAP Math Challenge Elimination Jian Tiampong, Alvin Sy Bag Awards Grade 9 Jian Kyle Tiampong and Grade 8 Alvin Lyndon Sy were third and second honors, in their respectively grade levels during the 2015 MetroBank-MTAP-DepED Math Challenge High School Individual Elimination round held on 14 January 2015 in Iloilo Central Elementary School. The four ISA high school math teams from Grade 7 to 4 th Year all qualified to compete in the team final round scheduled on February 6. ISA Learners Council officers led a group of secondary ISAers to Estancia on the first day of their Christmas break to deliver the food and daily necessities donated by the ISAers as gift to the town folks who were badly hit by typhoon Yolanda a year ago. ISAers chose to spend their first vacation day with the typhoon survivors to show deep concern of their plight, a practice fully supported by the school administration. Rotary Boys and Girls Week 2014 Nica, Marion Girl City Councilors After successfully hurdling the rigid screening processes of written exam and interview, Senior ISAers Nicole Casey Lao and Marion Nicole Lim were chosen to be girl city councilors during the annual Boys and Girls Week organized by the Rotary Club. Together with the other boy and girl city councilors from other schools, they spent a week either observing or performing the duties of city councilors from September 22 to 27. A group of University of Iloilo - Phinma Graduate School students visit ISA campus as part of their lessons in Comparative Education under Dr. Wilhelma Gabuan on 15 October 2014. They were warmly received by the ISA administration, faculty and learners. The ISAers performed taekwondo, Chinese songs and a dance drama to entertain the guests.

Australian Math Competition Awarding ISA is Second Most Awarded School in Iloilo with 36 Recipients

The Mathematics Trainers’ Guild Philippines (MTG) conducted the awarding ceremony of the Philippine-Australian Mathematics Competitions for Westpac Award 2014 on 9 January 2015, 8 am at Iloilo Grand Hotel, Iznart Street, Iloilo City.
