Despite the slump in oil prices, according to a recent study by the University of Houston, the city is benefitting from an unprecedented level of petrochemical and other heavy construction along the Ship Channel, a building boom that is largely built on low natural gas prices. This, in combination with the overall diversification of the Houston economy, means we are still seeing hiring in the job market. Below is just a sample of the positions we are currently working. M&A VALUATIONS DIRECTOR – To $300k + bonus

Our client is a publicly traded, global leader in the financial services industry with offices in NY & Chicago. They provide a variety of services to help companies throughout the world overcome complex business challenges. The Turnaround and Restructuring divisions in both Chicago & NY are looking to add an M&A Valuations Director. This person will consider all the issues surrounding clients’ businesses, working to restore profitability through cost reduction strategies, improving production, restructuring the balance sheet and reestablishing credibility with constituents. Ideal candidates will have 10 – 15 years of public accounting experience focusing on M&A and valuations. Big 4 is highly desired. 50% travel required.

CFO – To $250k + incentives

This rapidly growing and well-funded energy services company needs a strong hands-on leader with an entrepreneurial spirit. The company is not a start-up, but the financial group will need to be completely reorganized to handle their projected growth and policies and procedures will need to be implemented. Will work hand in hand with owners and executive management. They continue to grow even with the downturn in energy prices. Requires some international travel, CPA or CA, 15+ years experience in international oilfield manufacturing or services, or oilfield construction.

CONTROLLER - Pays to the $170k’s

Our client is a $450 mm company on the West side of town. This is a fun company with a strong commitment to the community as well. Here are the specifics: CPA, SEC reporting experience, multiple locations, wide variety of responsibilities including treasury and tax. Company is growing organically and making acquisitions. If you are interested in a challenge, this is an opportunity to put your own processes into place.

SENIOR MANAGER OF FINANCE AND ANALYTICS – To $170k + bonus

Profitable, growing, mid-sized company with a strong management team needs your 10+ years of Finance and Management experience. Key elements for success: Ability to work with both Finance and Operations. Experience with heading up the budget, forecast, and planning process is required. Excellent communication skills. Strong financial modeling as well as PowerPoint presentations. Curious and innovative personality.

CONTROLLER – to $160k + bonus

Our large manufacturing client is seeking a proven change agent to oversee the general ledger and accounting functions, including managing the month-end close process, the cost accounting systems and inventory controls. This individual will be responsible for directing the supervision of the Assistant Controller and Plant Controllers with indirect supervision to the accounting team. The qualified individual must have 10+ years of total experience in public accounting and industry, with a strong preference in the manufacturing industry and experience in a Standard Costing environment.

TREASURER – To $160k + bonus

Do you have experience managing the global treasury function, as well as risk management for your company? Then you are a great fit for this role! Will also oversee credit and collections and cash management, acquisition due diligence and integration. Minimum of 15 years experience with SOX compliance and international background. Must be a strong communicator and excellent negotiator. Business, Accounting or finance degree required.

INVESTMENT BANKING SENIOR ASSOCIATE – To $150k + bonus

Our client is a publicly traded, global leader in the financial services industry with offices in NY, Dallas, Chicago and San Francisco. With international operations in Europe & Asia, the firm specializes in M&A, capital markets, financial restructuring, and valuation. Recent company growth has created the need to add strong financial due diligence / Transaction Advisory Services candidates in all major markets. Ideal candidates will have 3 – 6 years of TAS / financial due diligence experience in a public accounting environment and excellent communication skills as this position will interact with C level executives regularly. Big 4 is highly desired. CPA or seeking, as well as the ability to travel 50% nationally.

MANAGER OF INTERNAL AUDIT – To $140k + bonus Our client is growing rapidly through acquisition and organic growth; they’ve transitioned management and are seeking a key player for the Internal Audit group who will report to the CFO and Audit Committee. Ideal background is a CPA, current Big 4 Senior Manager/Manager or Senior Manager/Manager who has recently left public accounting for industry with SOX experience. Minimal travel required.

STRATEGIC MANAGER OF FP&A – To $135k + bonus

Did you start your career in Public Accounting or Corporate Accounting ? Do you have 10+ years of strong Leadership, Budgeting, Forecasting, Business Metrics and Modeling experience? Do you have your CPA or MBA? If so, you may be very qualified for our Energy client’s newly created position, with a defined career path. This exciting role will be a strategic business partner to the field and operations!

VP of FINANCE & ACCOUNTING - To $130k + bonus

Are you seeking to join a family-friendly and growing $150+ Million manufacturing company that recently went through an office and plant expansion? Our client is well backed by a successful publicly-traded European parent. Qualified candidate will have strong manufacturing industry experience, be very hands-on to conduct month-end close, oversee payroll and cash forecasting, and be in charge of IT. Experience with IFRS and/or international reporting strongly preferred.

ASSISTANT CONTROLLER – To $130k

High tech company in Houston? You bet!! Constant growth is the reason for this new spot at this industry leader. Come here and work for dynamic financial leaders and expand your position as the company grows. Will be responsible for the financial statements, month end close, and supervision of staff, so recent experience with that background is required. Background must include a total of 6+ years of Big 4 and industry, CPA, and excellent communication skills.

MANAGER of FP&A – pays to $130k plus bonus, incentives, and flexibility

This oilfield services company is well known for its emerging market presence, industry leading strategy, excellent corporate culture, and phenomenal benefits. We’re currently seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the ST and LT forecast, M&A strategy, and handle special projects. This role will require heavy financial modeling, strategic thinking, excellent presentation skills, and in-depth industry knowledge about the Oil Field services or Logistics industries. Ideal candidates will have an MBA/Masters in Business, Finance, or Engineering and also have at least 8+ years of "hands-on" strategic finance experience. A high-level of executive presence and advanced professional communication skills are a must for this position.

MANAGER of AUDIT– To $125k + bonus

Privately held, rapidly growing services company that is gearing up for an IPO. Outstanding Management Team! CPA and 7-20 years of Audit experience, as well as SOX implementation and testing, and managerial experience. A combination of public accounting and industry experience is ideal. Must be able to travel up to 25%.

ACCOUNTING MANAGER – To $115k + bonus

Profitable, growing, mid-sized company with a strong management team and good working environment needs your 6-15 years experience in accounting. CPA and managerial experience is an absolute must. Also need to have strong G/L and financial reporting, good ERP systems and Excel, and be hands on.

SITE CONTROLLER - Pays to $115k + bonus

Large manufacturing company in Conroe, Texas. Are you up for a stand alone position? Analysis, cost accounting (standard) in a $60 mm plant. There is terrific promotion potential in the Houston area as well as nationwide if that’s what you want. You need at least 8 years in manufacturing, strong GL accounting, FP&A and cost accounting. POWER SETTLEMENTS LEAD- To $100k + bonus

Centrally located energy company is looking to add a Power Settlements Lead to their growing company. Unique opportunity to gain or strengthen management experience and be a change agent. Responsibilities include ensuring the settlement process throughout North America, improving communication channels, allocations of daily settlements, monthly reconciliations and working with various groups to answer questions and provide reports. Qualified candidate has 3+ years of settlement experience, a solid understanding of wholesale or retail energy markets and strong communication skills. ERCOT REQUIRED.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER – To $100k + bonus

Centrally located midstream company needs your 10+ years experience managing the A/P process A-Z. Must have strong vendor relations and manage the 1099 process. A degree in Finance or Accounting or related field is desirable, but not required.

M&A Analyst – pays to $100K plus bonus, incentives, and flexibility

We're currently searching for an Investment Banking Associate with advanced Excel modeling skills to work on the M&A/Strategy team for a fast growing Houston based company. You'll actually be able to sit in on strategy/planning meetings with the CEO, CFO, and VP of M&A. This role also offers an excellent compensation package and long-term growth/stability. The typical hours are from 8am - 6pm and you'll get the weekends off.

COST ACCOUNTANT – To $90k + bonus (LOUISIANA!)

this group. Ideal candidates will have 2 – 5 years of internal or external audit experience. CPA, CIA, or CFE highly desired but not required.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT – To $80k + bonus + LTI

Well established, centrally located company is seeking an upbeat, CPA or CPA- motivated accountant to join their team. This role is more operationally accounting focused versus general accounting or reporting. Works within the energy commodities trading group. Requires 2-8 years of general accounting or public accounting or a combination of the two. CPA is highly desirable. Very good tenure in the group, nice people!

ANALYST – To $75k + bonus

Unique opportunity to work for an independent consulting firm who provides services to law firms and corporations, some of which are the biggest in the world!! You’ll be part of a team that analyses financial documents, reviews financial statements and develops spreadsheets and models for cases. Degree in business, accounting, finance or economics is required along with 1-2 years of analysis or accounting experience. MBA or other certifications are a plus. Must have strong Excel skills.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT AND FINANCIAL ANALYST (2 SEPARATE OPENINGS) – Pays to $72k
