Things are going great, but as we all know what goes up must come down in most cases and that is what I want to talk to you about in the CEO message. The cycle of life going up and down or high and low doesn't need to be happening to you. Especially when you have this great business in your hands, but what you have to do is as Bill Russell says in the above quote is concentrate and be mentally tough. In this business or in your life you have to concentrate on the things that matter. In all aspects of your life there are things that truly make a difference, that truly move the needle as they say. And you most focus on these things with your full attention. In this business, we are in the people business so how many people are you contacting a day? How many agents are you talking to on your team? If you are not concentrating on talking to people then what are you concentrating on? Then to put it bluntly you are focusing on the wrong things. The reason you probably aren't talking to people or enough people is because you are not mentally tough enough, You have a problem hearing no or some form of a blow off by someone. Well sadly in life you don't get victories or successes by wishing or hoping, you get them by putting in hard work and dealing with a ton of disappointment. You are paid in this business directly to the amount of disappointment you can handle. I hope in this next quarter you focus on talking to more people than you ever have and not care about the outcome because if you push forward with that kind of mentality we will have the best quarter we have ever had. WHAT YOU WILL FIND:

Concentration and mental toughness are the margins of victory. -Bill Russell-

We have had a great 1st quarter and we are coming off a great cruise trip in which we took the most agents we ever have on a cruise.  Things are going great, but as we all know what goes up must come down in most cases and that is what I want to talk to you about in the CEO message.  The cycle of life going up and down or high and low doesn't need to be happening to you.  Especially when you have this great business in your hands, but

what you have to do is as Bill Russell says in the above quote is concentrate and be mentally tough. The reason

you probably aren't talking to people or enough people is because you are not mentally tough enough,  You have a problem hearing no or some form of a blow off by someone.  Well sadly in life you don't get victories or

successes by wishing or hoping, you get them by putting in hard work and dealing with a ton of disappointment.  You are paid in this business directly to the amount of disappointment you can handle.  I hope in this next

quarter you focus on talking to more people than you ever have and not care about the outcome because if you push forward with that kind of mentality we will have the best quarter we have ever had.

I am doing WFG because of my own personal passion to help people. The great thing about this company is you

have the opportunity to help people professionally, personally, and many times both. After working in the corporate world for the last twenty years, one of the

things that made me successful was my passion for my team. However, that was also what put me in tough

positions many times and ultimately, led me to this where my belief in people would lead to success for me and

many others. On top of that, my wife's family has been with WFG for over a decade and I have seen the success

first hand. Lastly and ultimately, for me it's about my family. God has blessed us throughout the years, but I

knew my passion could lead to greater things for my wife and I, and our 4 boys. WFG gives me the opportunity to use my strengths as a leader, grow to be a better leader,

while at the same time help my family. I want to share this passion and opportunity with as many people as

possible and that is what led me to get out there, talk with people and most importantly, recruit as many people as

possible.

People don't buy what you do, they buy why you do it.  -Simon Sinek-

What do you tell people when you are recruiting them?  Do you talk about product and services or commissions or the money you can make?  Or do you paint them a vision and show them why you are so passionate about a crusade?  There are two ways to recruit, a right way and a wrong way.  The first way is the wrong way.  People don't care about what you can offer, they care about the story and passion you have behind that.  People buy with their hearts and you have to connect with that to get them to want to be a part of our firm in a meaningful way.  So next time you are recruiting focus on what you are saying and if it is passionate and moving. If it is not, then you need to go meet with your SMD and get that fixed.  If it is,  I promise you that you will be the #1 recruiting base shop next

month.

#1 Personal Points I try to set the standard for our team, that even when you have a big base shop you should still do personal

business. We can’t sit back as leaders and let our teams do all the work. We have to be their example. Your team will follow what you do… So what

are you doing and what are you teaching them?

#1 SMD Base

Points follow recruits.  It is the old adage of WFG and it holds true all

the time.  We are the #1 base shop in points because we were the #1

recruiters this month.  Recruiting gives you a new fired up person, a top 25 list, and a bunch of new people to see.  And from there the points will come, so if you want to have the #1

base shop in points then go focus on your recruiting.

Cash Flow I am the #1 in cashflow again

because of all of your hard work.  I can't thank you all enough for all of

the great things that you do everyday.  I am so glad that I caught

this vision of building a team and finding folks like you and by doing

that the money will come.  So, if you want to be the #1 cashflow earner go find great people like you and it

will happen.

SPOTLIGHT

Maurice and Christina Jones began their WFG journey as clients, after a premature death of their son Kingston Jones, who at the time was only 3 years old. Before WFG, Maurice and Christina did not have life insurance protection for themselves, nor their three children. After paying out of pocket for Kingston's funeral and burial expenses,

the power couple were in search for any kind of life insurance protection. Divine intervention introduced them to a WFG agent whom educated them on the different

types of life insurance and helped them identify tasks and duties which their life insurance was to accomplish for their family.

The Joneses were always opportunity and financial freedom seekers. After protecting 7 immediate family members with Indexed Universal Life insurance policies, Christina asked the licensed WFG agent how much she made in commissions. Maurice asked

how much time was invested in the entire process. The Joneses asked how could they too become licensed WFG agents and build a massive financial agency providing them

true freedom of their time and unlimited income, beginning on a part-time basis.      The Joneses quickly began to implement the WFG mission of “no family left behind.”

Armed with the duty to protect families with the services provided by WFG and blessing others with the WFG business opportunity, the Joneses quickly realized they were living in their calling and purpose in life. After getting aligned with the amazing leadership and training of James Schwartz, the Joneses worked with diligence and

persistence on their personal growth and development, leadership, closing and team building skills.

The Joneses worked extremely hard to reach their Senior Marketing Director promotion in April 2017. When asked how they accomplished this launching pad of

their WFG business, they replied keeping things simple, staying coachable, trusting in the WFG system, constantly seeking guidance and mentorship from the senior partners within the office and their master-mind group, always working to perfect their craft,

applying all they learned, pushing their teammates to soar to new heights, leading their teammates with examples of personal production, activity, skill, will and success. An

opportunity seized is often a source of success. If we help people win by giving them opportunities, we will win with them. #teamepicalliance
