turned into the classroom teacher during all testing. Unapproved devices are not permitted in a testing location. It is recommended that these devices remain home during the testing days. Please continue to share with your child how important these tests are to themselves as well as the school and the district and ask them to do their very best. Please make sure your child is well rested and eats a good breakfast prior to coming to school, especially on the testing days. Now that Spring is here and our students are participating in all the spring extra-curricular activities, please remind your children that there is still one marking period of school left and their school work should continue to be their #1 priority. Finally, thank you to all who participated in our magazine fundraiser and our 4 Diamonds Mini Thon!

“Mr. C” “LEARN LIKE A CHAMPION TODAY!”

Notes from PTA Spring is always a busy time for the PTA. We have so many fun events being planned to finish out the school year. As a family, you can choose from a Senators baseball game, May Fair, Moms & Muffins & Book Fair. You’re sure to find something you enjoy. In addition, during school hours, your kids will be treated to an art experience with the Van Go! classroom visits and will learn about the culture and traditions of a foreign country on International Day. The end of the year also brings planning for the next school year and that includes our spring PTA Officer Election to be held in May. Open positions include vice-president and treasurer. Both are 2 year terms. If interested in either of these roles, please contact one of the current officers or come to our meeting on 4/4. As always, check out the schools e-communications website, PTA website and our West Hanover PTA facebook page for more information throughout the month!

childhood cancer.

Reflections

Our students who participated in the PTA art contest this year will be presented their awards at a

regional ceremony on April 2 at the Capitol Rotunda. We are proud of their accomplishments. Our

region includes all participating schools in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, and

York Counties. We also recently learned that Myra W. won 4th place at the state level of judging for

her musical composition. She will receive her state award at the end of April in State College. Please

encourage your students to participate in this contest next year. The theme for the 2017-18 school

year is “Within Reach.”

Happy Birthday to Our Staff!
