48th Anniversary Banquet
On Sunday, May 7, 2017, our shul and
community will come together to celebrate
the shul’s impact not just on its members,
but also on the broader Chicago Jewish
community at Yeshurun’s 48th Anniversary
Banquet, to be held at The Westin O’Hare.
We are pleased to honor Mrs. Marsha and
Mr. Stewart, a”h, Sheinfeld, with our
Amudei Yeshurun Award.
We will also recognize the 16 members of
the Yeshurun Kollel Boker for their hasmada
and dedication by presenting them with the
Kesser Yeshurun Award.
In conjunction with the Banquet, we are also

Inspiration – Women’s Learning Initiative.

Community Announcement
In our community there are parents who struggle
to provide a safe home for their children. The
community seeks families whose own children are
mostly grown and who are willing to participate in
foster care training so that they can provide a safe-
ty net to Jewish families in crisis. If you are inter-
ested in learning more about this opportunity,
please contact Mrs. Debbie Cardash of REACH or
Rabbi David Rosenberg of JCFS.
Announcements The Stewart Sheinfeld Father and Son Shabbos Afternoon
learning begins this Shabbos afternoon from 5:15-6:00pm.
Learning followed by a story and a special snack.
Kollel Boker begins new Zman Thursday. This Zman the Kollel
Boker will be learning Hilchos Onaah, focusing on price
gouging, deflating and inflating merchandise, truth in
advertising, and other related topics. For a chavrusah please
contact Eli Klein at 773-860-8472.
The Yeshurun Yoreh Deah Night Seder begins new Zman
Wednesday, April 26 at 8:30pm. This Zman the Chaburah will
be finishing Hilchos Bassar B’Chalav.
All of Rabbi Cohen’s regular shiurim will resume on Thursday.
The shul’s Yom Haatzmaut Kiddush is next Shabbos.
Rabbi Cohen’s Pirkei Avos Shiur for Women will begin its 30th
year this Shabbos with a special shiur, “Pirkei Avos, Shabbos
and Klal Yisroel, our special connection” at 6:30pm.
Team Yeshurun will be racing in the Chicago Chessed Fund’s
Speed to Feed. Donations to support our team and the
important work of the Chessed Fund can be given at
www.adasyeshurun.com/race. If you would like to join the
team please speak to Rabbi Millunchick.
The shul collectively learns Tanach between Pesach and
Shavuos. Cards are still available on the Rov’s shtender in the
main shul.
Next Shabbos Yachad will be having a Rayim Shabbaton @
Congregation Adas Yeshurun. If you are able to provide
Shabbos hosting for Rayim-Yachad members (ages 26 and
